I have to be in Monroe for a Friday and most of Saturday, and will have kids 8 and 13. Is there anything y’all can recommend for them to do up there to kill some time? I don’t mind driving an hour or so in any direction. Thanks

Slim Chicken in WM? TP Outdoors or drive up to Simmons maybe. Stop by the Duck Commander place? Not much to do, but a drive through Bawcomville always provides some random sights to see.

Get you a 40 from the circle K and go hang out in the Sonic parking lot. They call it Funroe for a reason.

The Chennault aviation and military museum is good. Biedenharn museum, Mauser art museum. Go over to poverty point. West monroe antique alley to walk around. Some good parks, esp kiroli.

Surge for bowling/games/food.
Plenty of good local restaurants in the area.
I do recommend Jac’s for good bbq. All the other local bbq places ain’t all that.

Go see a movie.
Go to Pecanland Mall.
Crush Long Island Ice Teas at the Monroe airport.
Eat at the Warehouse and then some place on Louisville down by ULM.
Drive to Choudrant and tour Squire Creek.
Excalibur.
Look up outdoor activities.
