I have 3 1969 vehicles, and should have four but I stupidly turned down an inexpensive Judge 20 years ago.
My 1969 Chrysler 300, a "fuselage" car, is my favorite. Big size, but big motor (440 with a Holley 4 bbl).
Mine is identical to this one except it has the real 300 hubcaps:

A Ford Focus would beat almost all of those cars.

By the way, what's the best way to get a premium price on an all original 69 that is a well maintained, sunny day driver type condition car?
Locally, eBay, a different website, etc.
I'd especially like your response to this question. The car is located in your neck of the woods.

You were close. That's a 68.

Melba toast was my first thought when I saw that Chevelle. Minus the racing stripes.

About 3500.00 or so. We had the model Chevelle SS before the 69. Black and white with bucket seats and shifter with a console. Dad was going thru his mid life phase crisis I gues. My brother loved it, I was not old enough.
Pretty close, IIRC the base price on the '69 Judge was around $3,400. I bought mine in 1977 for $1,500 with my paper route $ and earnings from working in a grocery store. Beautiful car (although filled with Bondo) and fast. Fried a set of Mickey Thompson tires the first summer I owned it and my dad took the keys away before I wrapped it around a tree. It got about eight miles to the gallon and I had to drive 15 miles just to get high octane gas.

Stupid Question but why don’t they make cars like this anymore? Also is it just the look or were the engines on these cars better then?
