In and around the lake
Mountains come out of the sky and they stand there
One mile over we'll be there and we'll see you
Ten true summers we'll be there and laughing too
Twenty four before my love you'll see
I'll be there with you

I wonder if there are any studies on highest rate of overturned 18 wheelers per capita.

The BR metro area would have to be near the top

I am from Walker but I thank God I dont live there anymore! The people of the LP cant drive for shite, esp the people of Walker.

I love my home town , but really people you need to learn how to drive. I know this may not have anything to do with this overturned 18 wheeler but it seems like at least once a week there is a crash in the round about.

Isn't the speed limit like 15 on those things?

How fricking stupid and wreckless do you have to be to tip over on one?

Part of the reason is because it's poorly designed. The circle is not large enough, the dual lanes can be somewhat confusing to the uninitiated, and there is no night time lighting whatsoever.

well a complicating factor is a shite ton of work is still going on in this area with no apparent end in sight. I will be interested to see how things go when the project is finally completed.

Why they didn't begin the project by widening the overpass bridge to 4 lanes (2 in each direction) is the big question for me. That's going to be the ongoing chokepoint in and out of these roundabouts that butt right up to the bridge. You're forced to merge as soon as you come out of the roundabouts onto an overpass bridge. It's a horrible design that will do nothing to relieve congestion until the overpass is widened. And I don't know if that's part of this project or not.

Not sure what is worse. Being confounded by a simple roundabout or having multiple residents tell the regional media that the roundabouts must be removed because they are too confusing.

It would be funny if it wasn't so sad.

So just as dumb as the average Louisiana driver, but with 20 tons of cargo and an extremely entitled attitude behind the wheel.

Ding Ding Ding. We have a winner!

Yep. The circles are far too small.

The dual lanes where you have stupid fricks coming from over the bridge trying to get onto the Interstate who just barrel over the solid line without yielding or even looking at who's there. See an accident almost happen damn near every time from people not knowing how to switch lanes in the roundabout.

And as soon as the sun goes down, you can't see dick in front of you.

And don't even get me started on the elderly fricks. I've seen several old folk drive the wrong fricking way around the round about.
