And what is the deal with Holden. Every other week someone crashes on a straight piece of roadway just in time for afternoon or morning rush hour.

Nonsense, there is no difference between this one and hundreds of other ones. Lighting? It happened in the day time. Design, it has huge inner apron like every other roundabout designed for semis. These things exist in every state and semi drivers who are not dips-sh!ts can drive them fine. Every community on the planet can manuever roundabout fine except for Walker,..please. 20,000 people a day drive this roundabout with an issue. One idiot screws up for who knows why (phone, drunk, stupid, not paying attention) and we blame the road.

Same roundabout design that has been put in dozens of other locations, but Walker can't handle it.

Well if you think about it these 18 wheelers are not local drivers most are from out of state.

I wonder if there are any studies on highest rate of overturned 18 wheelers per capita. The BR metro area would have to be near the top

LA has the highest hit in run deaths per capita. Heard it on the radio this morning.

We really do live in a state full of low life pieces of shite.

Right where there are also roundabouts. Louisiana is late to this game. They have existed in most other states for several decades.

The best part of a roundabout is seing if you can drive fast enough to completely halt the inflow of traffic

Man, I used to make fun of the LP for all of the Walker roundabout fuss... until I actually drove through it. That thing sucks.

For starters, the exits from the circle are very poorly identified so it’s not immediately obvious where to turn off, especially if you’re trying to get ON the interstate and aren’t familiar with the area. It also seems to sneak up on you.. I think a lot of the issues are just poor signage.

The first time I drove through that shite was at night and thank god there wasn’t much traffic at the time. Maybe it will get better once the construction is complete.

My accelerometer has me at 0.97 maximum lateral g's in a left-hand turn.

This seems like it could be a fun game.

that is complete BS. how many other places have roundabouts with two lanes that immediately merge coming out of the roundabout into a single lane interstate overpass bridge? Same issue with the opposing lane and other side.

it's an inexcusable design flaw that was easily mitigated by expanding the overpass to 4-lanes prior to the roundabout construction. But the folks in charge were too smart for that and now the congestion issues persist.

Have you driven in that fricking roundabout? Its a mess. Construction everywhere (its been 2.5 years already) and very uneven road.

I love roundabouts and that is the worst one I have ever been in.

This roundabout is not like other roundabouts

Its not finished
It has mutiple levels of road
There is a lack of signage
It merges 2 lanes into 1 lane back into 2 lanes over a few hundred feet
