I always loved math and was very good at it until I got to Calculus. Maybe it was my teacher but I never could grasp it. I don't consider calculus to be math anymore. It's something else entirely.

I've forgotten pretty much aby of those that I've learned to derive before except for Newton''s calculous. I actually think that derivation is rather simple. Once you realize you are looking at the area on an xy plot, you see that the area can be defined as a bunch of tiny rectangles whose width approaches 0. So yes he had to invent the concept of limits and calculus to have a language to describe it and he's an absolute genius for being the one to do so, but I understand how he at least got the equation shown on that sheet . Not that I can do it or anything, but once it was explained, I see his thought process and can understand how someone got there. Now the levels that integration can be used is incredible and people don't seem to understand that it describes almost everything. Amazing calculus isn't a high school required course (at least when I was in school).
