i dont get how those mfrs came up with that shite. they didnt even have calculators
i was reading a quantum mechanics book and there was a little anecdote discussing how Newton came up with xxxx. in the anecdote, there is a line like "Newton couldn't proceed, so he invented calculus." worded like he just made that shite up in an afternoon and used it to continue his discovery. smh

Read the exact same thing. I can hardly do calculus and this guy creates it so he can figure something entirely different out.

Hardly world-changing.
Sure it was. Little Street Hawk came along and now I can't go out with my friends, party, smoke a little weed now and again, or sleep for more than 4 hours a night. That little bastard changed my life forever.

Navier-Stokes is easily the most important today, imo.
You a mechanical engineer? MEs usually find Fuild Mechanics, Heat Transfer and Thermodynamics very hard to pass on the OT.

Fourier transform close second.
Where are some applications of Fourier transform in the real world?

#14 was my favorite of all Charlie Brown's friends....a classically trained Beethoven aficionado and apparently, a brilliant mind as well.

Law of gravity is the best one. It saves my arse on almost every physics exam.

A + B = C
Where
A = Newton's Mom
B = Newton's Dad
C = Newton
Where
A = Newton's Mom
B = Newton's Dad
C = Newton
