That’s mccord family. Formerly out of Shreveport but all of them I think are in Houston now. This was bought from amoco back maybe early 2000’s or late 1990’s I want to say.

I doubt they really need the money hence why the price hasn’t come down.

Even Oak Grove hasnt done too well the past few years. Salvania is taking over a lot of the marsh.

This would be a great gift for Thomas, my sommelier.

Most sommeliers I’ve met aren’t exactly into hunting and fishing. Take it as a small sample size, but they were quite the opposite.

there's only one family that would own that much marshland in SWLA

Is the patriarch of the family a former congressman who was once part of Edwin Edward's inner circle?

Oak grove is definitely premium too. I’ve just been going to Grosse Savanne for so long and enjoy the whole property etc.

Mike Foster used to have a lot of land down that way.

Prime duck and goose hunting located in the Mississippi Flyway

This is false advertising

Well the Flyway has indeed shifted that far West over the past decade or so

there seems to be some great areas I often pass out here from Sacramento south/west down the river to San Pablo bay around the Napa estuary.

We did a trip two years ago there. Men flew in and hunted ducks/geese for 3 days then our wives met us in Napa for 4 days there. Wouldn’t even let me eat at the French laundry in camo.

We don’t have any problems killing our limits in Geuydan, and the food is pretty damn good down on the way as well.
