That's sad. Unless the boy was doing something malicious, I wouldn't want that as one of the parents who lost their child. All three were voluntarily participating in a risky activity.

The vehicle was caught on camera going no more than 15 MPH and he was turning a corner and they veered out from the curve and hit a curb and then slammed into the tree. The sled that they were on had one on the bottom and the other on top of her. The parents of the girls do not want to press charges but it is a LE thing now.

Just saw that the sister of one of the girls killed is a freshman at LSU.

Very tragic. We’ve all done things growing up. I don’t think a charge should be made. Him living with it for the rest of his life is punishment enough.

This is giving me flash backs to the horrible book that is Ethan Frome and that phalic pickle jar.
The book ends with a man and his side piece decide to commit suicide by sledding into a tree, and just end up serverly disabled and under control of the bitter wife

If what he did was illegal in any way, you have to charge him.
Let a jury decide his fate, but you can't decide when and how to apply the law.
That goes for everyone. Hell, Trump and ICE are getting into battles now because some believe that the law should be applied selectively.

Correct and the girl who died was going to LSU as well. The family is from NOLA and I learned today that they are now moving back there.

I find myself asking "Just how stupid can some people be?" and I'll be damned if they don't come along and top the last stupid thing they've done.
How many videos have you seen of guys holding on to a rope while on a skateboard and being pulled down the road by a pickup truck. And many of them do it in shorts and a t-shirt.
Before long they get all wobbly and hit the ground for a nice case of road rash at best and possibly needing dental work and bones set.

There were actually like 4 or so similar stories across the south of people dying riding behind ATVs, trucks, jeeps during the storm.
This one just got the most attention.
