I'm not a medical professional but I don't see how this is any different from anorexia yet we treat the two completely differently.

No doubt. Many many factors that contribute to this. Broken homes, poor, need for attention, sexuality abused as a child, etc. it all falls back to the way the person was raised. You can’t just say the person was born that way. Other factors are involved.

I know this family. There are 3 sons, and they are some of the most well mannered kids I’ve met. They are not a look at me group.
However, I called something about this kid a couple of years ago before he started this journey. He’s only the second kid I’ve met in person that I truly believe transitioning will be a good choice.
Two younger brothers are very different than the oldest. It is not something about how they are raised.
