They might have been killed or at least knocked unconscious by the impact of the crash even before the plane hit the ground

WTF? Did they hit a UAP on the way down?

Yet another reason for me not to go skydiving.

I did it on a backpacking trip after college. I’m terrified of heights so it was hard to work up the courage to do it but I’m glad I did. It’s the most insane thing but It was awesome.

They thought they were signing up for sky diving but they accidentally put their names on the ground diving roster.

Just a little dark humor. Relax.

RIP

carriers had the same lax maintenance that exists in small air nobody would ever fly anywhere.

This is not based on facts. As a matter fact, as a percentage, part 121 operators crash more often due to mechanical issues as opposed to part 91 and 135 which is heavily weighted to pilot error.

No one is jumping if it stalled. They would be thrown about violently until impact.

Had a Wisconsin client that skydived. He called while on vacation in Colorado. “Jumping today”

“You sent me pictures of your fiancé, beautiful girl, and you still jump out of planes? Give me her number so I can take care of her after you die.”

His main chute didn’t open, struggled with the reserve and hit the ground hard. Called me from the hospital “ I can’t jump anymore. She made me swear off skydiving.” “I can’t jump anymore, she told me no more.” Told him “I can still take care of her while you recover.”

I sent another engineer to Viet Nam…he came back with a princess, due to an arranged marriage. Told them both, tired of sending you guys out and all I do is go to Mississippi. I’m doing something wrong here.

Zero reason to jump out of a perfectly working aircraft

There's a lot of reasons for skydivers to jump out of a non-working aircraft.

Did it once in college, never again. Especially considering I have children.

If you ever find my body at the site of a plane crash, I can promise I won't be wearing a parachute.

Seems to me, every plane you board ought to give you a parachute in case.
