I'm guessing so, as that might have been easier to get to?

How much of the body was left?

After 10 months, skeletal remains and clothing. Rats, maggots and other vermin took all the flesh long ago.

I was told a leg was actually recovered a few weeks ago after it became detached from the deceased.

Not to mention Louisiana heat and humidity.

He wasn’t posted up on Everest, a body exposed to the elements in the south has to be a mess pretty quickly.

There is no excuse for this to have taken this long. I can’t imagine what these poor families are feeling. People don’t realize how their selfish decisions can greatly affect others. Ten months is a ridiculous amount of time for this family to finally get closure.

At this point, is the word “body” really applicable? 10 months outdoors in a subtropical climate with scavenging wildlife.

Maybe “remains”.

This is literally taking longer than 9/11 cleanup in NYC. The city should be getting hammered for this.

Getting closure with a missing person case can’t be easy.
Not knowing if your loved one dead or alive and years later remains are found.
These people knew exactly where their loved ones were and couldn’t get closure.
Should be embarrassing for the city’s leaders.

And I’m sure not one National News Network will have a story on this

It'll need to be an empty lot for 50 years
