Really? I know zero healthy people who pound the diet cokes and I know a ton of people in crap shape who do. The healthy people I know drink water, tea, coffee throughout the day.

Caffeine is an upper. Alcohol is a depressant. I am guessing everyone knows which one helps happiness.

What about fast food, cookies and potato chips? Plenty of people kill themselves with Popeyes and McDonald's.

Alcohol should not be banned, but the things you described kill the people that choose to consume them. Alcohol results in many deaths of others that are not drinking.

Regardless, alcohol is responsible for far more births than deaths.

The idea of banning alcohol was tried and failed miserably. The only people that thought it was successful was the mob and bootleggers.

I would assume the average diet soft drink consumer is less healthy than the average beer drinker but that’s probably because most diet soft drink consumers are overweight. At 10 a day, every day, I’d definitely think the Coke Zero consumer is healthier. They’re definitely on average experiencing less related day to day difficulties related to their habit.

I drink both (usually daily) but not at these levels (though more than one of each). I’ve never had any issues related to soft drinks but I’ve never had a ball with them either.

Except that it wasn’t.

It was 5%+

Look, I’m just giving you the facts. They were a different breed. They did manual labor drunk all day. Although they probably had a very high tolerance due to the constant drinking

Yeah, I don’t think the basic beer making process has changed too much.

That artificial sweetener is some toxic stuff.

10 zero-calorie soft drinks a day is basically doing nothing to his body…No real measurable harm, and no benefit. Clearly beer is much much worse in this comparison

Sorry, disagree if the zero-calorie is off-set with artificial sweetners. I hate to say it but artificial sweetners will probably be banned in the far-future. They do some crazy crap to the body. I know I can't touch even a drop of anything with them in it. If I do my ears ring so badly I cannot sleep at all.

Got me thinking what’s worse. I guess 2 part question since I don’t really know the difference between regular Coke and Coke Zero other than sugar I suppose ?????

I drink a lot of Diet Coke. If it turns out there is deadly stuff in it, I'm in trouble.
10 beers is a lot of calories. I'd rather eat ice cream.

Link?

I don't drink them outside of pretty rare occasions because I would tend to agree something made in a lab probably isn't good for you.

But that's just my personal thoughts, there's really not any good data to back it up.

John Adams drank a hard cider with breakfast every morning, except for when he was in Philadelphina, and then he drank a beer every morning with breakfast becaused he loved Philly's beer.
