They should have "borrowed" one of these so they didn't fight over who was carrying their weight.

How is this not self defense? Dude got KO'd and when he awoke from the shadow realm, he was still get pummeled. Any normal person stops after KO'ing a fishing buddy, so no telling what that Polk guy was trying to do.
Also they are probably going to play the 'not scared for his life card' but can't one still be scared enough to defend their self?
Also did these two ride back from the fishing trip together or what?

"Known for its colorful street murals, the Bywater neighborhood has a bohemian vibe, with plenty of outdoor cafes, boisterous dive bars and hip restaurants. Quirky boutiques selling handmade goods dot the area, while buzzy St. Roch Market offers southern gourmet specialities in a stylishly updated Victorian food hall. Trails, picnic spots and sweeping city views are the draw at riverside Crescent Park."

If I come-to with someone on top of me punching, how is it not self defense to stab them?
Also to those making fun of Bywater not being a real fishing 'trip'; maybe they were from the 7th ward...

Funny what no tats, a Brooks Brothers suit, and some reasonable semblance of something approaching a hair cut will do.
