A 42-year-old man died Tuesday (May 7) after New Orleans police say he was stabbed the previous day while in a fight during a fishing trip in the Bywater area.

Police arrested Alvin Glapion, 41, and booked him on a charge of second-degree murder, court records show. According to a preliminary report, Glapion and the man the coroner identified as Polk got into a verbal argument during a fishing trip. Polk punched Glapion, knocking him out, and when Glapion “came to,” Polk was on top of him, punching him, police said.

Glapion then retrieved a fishing knife “and stabbed (Polk) four times,” the report states.

NOPD stated that the Polk and Glapions 200 pounds of fish
in a 180 quart Yeti ice chest were donated to a local charity.

Too bad it's not self defense.

I'd let him off anyway.
If I'm his defense I get him to say he still feared for his life due to some comment that was made.

200 pounds of fish caught in the Bywater area? Were they fishing for catfish in the river?

Call Green Jeans. I'm sure he could add a few more charges to this guy's murder rap.

There is a 100% chance this ice chest was stolen.

Surprised the cops didn't keep the ice chest.

Sounds like the fight started over one of them not carrying the ice chest far enough and then shite got real.
