Check out northern Mississippi. 2-3 inches of freezing rain would be biblical.

Oh ? You communist
Mississippi catfish farm subsidies, heavily concentrated in the Delta region, are provided through USDA programs, with major recipients including entities like America's Farm Partnership in Itta Bena and Mitchell Pearson Fish in Belzoni. These subsidies often fall under aquaculture support or, for land-diversified operations, row crop programs.

BR will be right on the edge of getting a glaze, but totals would not exceed 0.10"

Frankly I have no idea how to read those maps.

All I see is a bunch of dark colors over where I live

So glad our daughter came home .. she was stocked and ready but when they said possible no power for days, she packed up and came home. Can’t say I blame her.

The key is in top left. First map is total snowfall, second map is total freezing rain

Jesus. I would say “please let that be AI” but people, at a great proportion, are truly imbeciles these days

It’s a dry cold where you’re at. 30 in the Deep South with the higher humidity feels colder than 10 degrees in Colorado mountains

It certainly does. I know this, Im trolling the southerners.

Id rather 25 here than 45 in NOLA.

So those in the ice zone... we're going to start watching the soundings from Memphis, DFW, Little Rock, Shreveport, Lake Charles, Slidell, Jackson, Birmingham, Mobile, and Huntsville with great interest tomorrow AM.

What are we looking for?

How shallow is the cold? Is it getting deeper south earlier than forecast (colder near the surface might yield sleet vs ice...but tought to tell from a model sounding)? What does the melting layer look like? Deeper or warmer, you dont want to see.

The beauty of a winter storm is an assload of in situ vs just models. Makes it easier to see failure modes. Im rooting for much more sleet vs rain tomorrow and Sunday.

How do you know so much about the weather? Is that your hobby, or are you a credentialed expert?

It just stopped raining after raining all day here in North Dallas. Seems ominous. What does it mean?

Seems to be some false returns on radar. Spoken with a couple hunting buddies that are in areas showing precipitation and they haven’t seen anything.
