Just as last year I'm so damn tired of hearing how Matt Ryan is the next Tom Brady.

What is it about them? I just don't see it. They are media darlings again.

Being that the NFC South hasn't had a repeat champ since its inception, that only leaves 3 teams to become the trendy pick.

Here you go, a tutorial on "Picking A Winner" 101:

The 2 rules to remember:

1. Keep picking the same team every year and the law of averages will eventually fall in your favor. If your selection wins in a reasonable amount of time (in approximately 3 years, or less), you can announce to the world, ad nauseam, that you picked the winner, and

2. See Rule No. 1.

I for one am concerned that the Falcons will have a gaudy record, not because I think they are great but because their schedule is super easy. This is their road schedule:

Saints (very tough)
Eagles (moderately tough)
Steelers without Ben (moderately tough)
Carolina (decent)
Seattle (decent)
Tampa (easy)
St. Louis (easy)
Cleveland (easy)

This is a VERY easy road schedule. Other than Saints game, you have Kolb with the Eagles and Dennis Dixon? with the Steelers as your 2nd and 3rd hardest road games. Their home schedule is harder obviously but they get all of their hard games at home:

Saints (very hard)
Packers (very hard)
Ravens (very hard)
Bengals (decent to hard)
Carolina (decent)
Tampa (easy)
Arizona (decent)
San Fran (decent)

I can see them going 11-5 just based on the schedule. If we had their schedule based on "where" we play teams, we would go 13-3 or 12-4. Regardless I am concerned about their record. Just my two cents.

I see, at best, 5-3 on the road for them (losses @NOLA, @Seattle, and @Philly. Maybe @Pittsburgh).

They could easily lose the first three home games that you listed, plus San Fran or Arizona may be tougher.

Oh come on...nobody likes cowherd. You have to take him for what he's worth....he's a media whore. He likes to stur stuff up just to arise people and get ratings. He puts on a show more than anything.....he's throws out opinions that usually have no merit just to arise the crowd. Nothing more, he knows he laughable, but he likes it that way and is told to be "controversial"

NFC South hasn't had a repeat champion in forever and it's usually a worst to first situation. (Last year was the first year it wasn't and it was second to last to first)

They have a good QB, good RBs, decent receivers and a decent OL. Thier defense isn't great, but it was ranked higher than ours. They are a pretty good team. Truth be told, when the Saints, Falcon's and Panthers are on, they are some of the most solid teams in the NFL.

Kolb was a monster last year. Byron Leftwich will be the starter for the Steelers in Ben's absence.
