re: Residential Home Construction - Companies to do a material take-off

I'm not trying to flame you but you can make these calls and get a better price than me as a GC and have them all done correctly to code? Never built in Washington parish so I don't know their inspectors

It's not that simple. Like many other people on here already said, if you don't know the subs and give them work, you will be put on the back burner. Theyll use the cheapest products and push them past you because you don't know what to look for. paying cost plus with a GC and then doing it yourself usually equals the same if you build yourself. The MEP's are going to charge you more if you're not a GC. Get all the bids you want and go with the cheapest sub sounds good, but the cheapest guys will screw you. The headache of doing it yourself isn't worth it. There's a lot to think of you will miss because you don't do it day in and day out. If they don't carry liability and mess up, you're out of money. If they dont carry comp, you're responsible for their injury.

Sure the interest offsets it but you still get points. You’re the jackass who said you get points for paying it off. You get points no matter what.

So you come on here looking for justification of your life style and end your diatribe by accusing straight people of being pedophiles. Got it. Change your ways while you still have time. As a married man I have a strong attraction to women but I have to control my urges. Adulatory is a sin. Men sleeping with men is a sin. Sorry! I didn't make the rules He did.
This dude has 100% cheated on his wife and probably hit her a few times after shooting bad on the back.

Do you even have a credit card? My wife and I have a chase sapphire and we use it for everything and pay it off every month. Whether we pay it off every month or not, we still get points. There’s no kickbacks for payment.

re: Bud Light Maker Offers Distributors Free Beer. More Ad Spending
Posted by LSUsaintsfanla on 5/3/23 at 9:12 pm
What most people don’t realize when they go to stores and see bud fully stocked and say no one’s buying it is that for at LEAST 25 years, all AB distributors have had a better merchandiser team than Miller coors distributors. What that means to you lay folk, merchandisers are the crews responsible for filling the coolers with beer. They’ll hit the bigger stores 3 times a day with a mandatory last “pull up” at 3 - 6 pm. AB distributors are all around better executors than their counter parts. Miller coors distributors may only “pull up” a store once on a Saturday, and not touch it again until Monday because the sales are genuinely that much different between the brands. Everyone keeps saying yeah but the article says bud light sales are slipping, no shite they’ve been slipping for at least 6-7 years. Not that this thing didn’t help accelerate a little more. But bud light has been in trouble for a while. They have the BL family that has kept them going to help push numbers (bill line, platinum, lime-a-Rita, seltzer, whatever). Point is an distributors are way better at executing than their opponents. Especially in br. Although Mockler beverage is a bunch of pretentious douche bags, they do a great job at executing.
Point is if you want to punch ab in the count, stop drinking these beers:
Bud, bud light, Michelob Ultra, natural light, Busch, & my personal favorite King Cobra. Stella Artois bass and some other brand are in Bev too but frick them. The Mexican beer brands corona modelo and negra are partially owned by abi but not fullly(unless something changed in the last two years).
Watch the dog fish guys Netflix show about it. Fighting for space or some shite.

It outsold Miller and coors combined 2:1 nationally

re: St. Paul's alum - Brother Ray has passed away
Posted by LSUsaintsfanla on 4/24/23 at 8:14 pm
Chuckle at the shite grammar we use maybe.
Man he was good and did a lot of good. But I always felt his one downfall was planning for expansion of the school. St. Paul’s expanded so quick without infrastructure to handle the student population. I think he handled it better after say, 2005. But the boom of the northshore in the 90’s was probably hard for anyone to anticipate and help grow. Rip brother ray.

re: How big of a hit did Bud Light take on the new campaign?
Posted by LSUsaintsfanla on 4/10/23 at 7:20 pm
If you look at any reasonable data(iri and Nielsen) bud light has been losing for many years. Throw in the family brand(seltzer, platinum, lime etc…) and they’re probably losing less but bud light flag ship has been losing for a while. Meanwhile ultra is carrying ABI.

This sucks. Kentavius was renting a house in my old neighborhood. He was a really nice guy and was great to my boys. He was pretty good in the field too. Not a pro bowler but he was definitely good.
re: Insurance commissioner push for reinforced roofs?

Fortified is basically a private company who took residential florida builder code and made it their business. There are a few differences between FBC and fortified but very minimal. All we’re doing is making contractors spend their money to be certified. The problem is after hurricanes we generally wave permits and there are no inspections vs florida where everything is inspected. If Louisiana wants to be serious, they should adopt codes like FBC. It will eliminate the “my brother n law can do this job for X amount less” and we can actually get proper work done.
