1. someone already on roster- ridder/Heinicke

2. trade for fields

3. trade to move up in draft and take one of the big 3

4. sign a free agent- mayfield/cousins/winston/wilson/etc

I could see Russell Wilson ending up there as a true transition QB. It ain't going to he Ridder of Heinicke.

An outside chance of them being able to trade up if the right QB falls out of the top 3.

Trade for Fields

The price to get one of the top 3 QB's will be ridiculous.

Barring some weird draft choices or a big trade, the Falcons aren't getting him at #8.

Personally I find it pretty unlikely they wait until the draft to get a QB. IMO they trade for Fields or sign an FA like Cousins or Baker.

Doesn't necessarily stop them from taking a QB in the draft, but I think it would take the board falling a certain way.

I think Atlanta will be aggressive sensing the division is wide open. But I don't think they will be willing to pay a huge price to get to No. 1.

The question will be do they trade for Fields or trade up to get Maye at 3 or 4? I think Chicago takes Williams. I think Washington will take Daniels (lack of playoff success or not, Washington is 30 miles south of Baltimore watching a Daniels comp have success). New England won't love Maye more than the second tier of QBs. Atlanta will see Maye as their next Matt Ryan after the "dual threat" experiment with Ridder has fizzled.

Just don’t want a divisional opponent getting Jayden Daniels.

If you look at what he did in Tampa Bay, they resigned McCown but subsequently traded him and they moved up in the draft from 21 to 17 to take the third QB in that year's draft, Josh Freeman.

@ #8 It may come down to how the chips fall. I suspect, however, that he will either ride with Ridder or sign Mayfield/Cousns if the price is right. I don't think he goes for Fields unless he gets a bargain for him.

This would be great if it is Daniels. They would terrible for another 4 years and be drafting a new QB once his rookie contract is up

Atl has shown they are not afraid to make a splash and throw a lot of assets to get someone they covet. But with the top 3 teams potentially looking to upgrade their QBs too, that should drive the price too high unless one passes on a QB. Then outside of LV or Minny jumping them, Atl may be able to sit put and get 1 of the top 3.

I can see teams waiting on trying to trade for Fields and he ends up being a draft day trade. If that happens, Chi losses a lot of the leverage and could end up having to take a bargain price to move him.

You have to give up draft compensation and then turn around and pay him if you want Fields. Feel like if they make a trade it’s going to be into the top 3 of the draft

I hope they do trade for Fields. He is due a huge contract and I would love for the Falcons to start losing vital pieces so that they can pay Fields 45 mil a season.

Who are you starting for next year? Panthers? Saints, Commanders?

Yeah, well I think JD proves you wrong.
However, it is your right to be so wrong.

No disrespect to Bo, but I just had a vision of Cam Jordan legally, yet violently sacking his arse.

Maybe Deja Vu?

They will certainly attempt to trade for Fields with their second round pick. They will then use their first rounder on Malik Nabors

Probably Jayden Daniels. They would love to stick that thumb in the eye of La. football fans.
