This cluster of a coaching search is 100% an indictment of the team's front office. When does the so called leadership wake up and realize they are the problem?

Problem is Loomis could have had his pick of coaches last time. We were still viewed as an elite franchise, coming off a winning season. Instead of doing a thorough search, Loomis already knew he was giving it to Allen.

Now it’s a shite show, you dug deeper into the cap signing Carr and have not been having good drafts and trading away high picks. Now teams view us for what we really are. A product of Brees and CSP carrying us all those years….

I said it a while ago. Only Benson dying will save the team.

She is blind to the problems, and Loomis was carried by Brees and Payton.

Shut the frick up. Actually we were a middling team and shite until we hired Dennis Allen and got some defense.

We went 7-9 for three straight years rolling with Brees/Sp’s aerial assault.

We then had four straight playoff season when we hired DAllen (shite head coach - now proven, but good coordinator) and started running the ball with MIngram and AK.

And we still have AK and Joe Brady is still out there, and his offense is kind to elite RB’s.

Put your tampon back in.

I would say your reasoning skills are a bit retarded but that would be an insult to retarded people.

Are you burying your head in your pillows and crying that we missed out on Schottenheimer? The team lost a week to interviews due to the weather, and one of the favorites to land the job can’t be interviewed until the Bills are out of the playoffs. This is 100% an indictment of the front office actual doing a thorough job

You really need to take a breath dude. There are still four teams out there that are preparing for games and we're probably waiting on interviewing their coaches.

There is also only 32 positions in the league. We will find a coach that wants to come here.

Just because it's not happening now, doesn't mean we're not doing our due diligence. You can wait a little

Remember, in 2006 New Orleans was not the ideal spot for a new head coach and yet we got one of the best in franchise history.

I seriously don’t know what you are talking about.

Glenn picked Jets. That’s all that’s happened.

BJ was never coming and Vrabel to NE was inevitable.

Some people on this board are clueless. The NFL is designed for quick turnarounds. If you criticize Loomis for hiring Allen then you have to give him credit for CSP. So he’s 1/2 in coaching hires. Glenn was never coming to the Saints. He spent the majority of his career in NY. Stop with the false narratives that he was considering the Saints job. Vrabel was going to NE. Chicago was the one job I guess you could rate higher than the Saints because they have a young qb (I still don’t think Caleb Williams is an elite QB).

I still hope it’s McCarthy, he just has the experience but we’ll see.

Is the OP and the guy who started the Kong thread one of those fragile minded millennials I read about that is super anxious about everything and can’t deal with the real world? Lucky for them they weren’t around for the Ditka era.

You are correct, but most teams are sold prior the owner death as estate handling posthumously can be a hot mess.

As the debacle of her franchises only worsen the drumbeat to sell the teams will only increase.

Save your frustration with coaches, Loomis, doctors etc. They are the symptoms of Gayle ownership.

I think there was a possibility that he was at least considering it. IN his word the NYJ probably rated higher because he played there the first 8 years of his career, there cap space is a hell of a lot better than ours, have some good pieces in place (especially on defense & secondary), opportunity to bring in GM he wanted to work with...

They also had the ability to interview and offer him before he was scheduled to arrive here. NYJ offered to make him the HC now. I am sure he spoke to Loomis about this before accepting, and Loomis was probably honest and told him to take it because the Saints still want to do their due diligence. Which means at least 4 more interviews in addition to Glenn, and 1 of those guys could be coaching for another 3 weeks.

Do these people think the Jets would sit on a job offer for a month so their top candidate could see if another opening may consider him? Do they think Glenn wants to risk losing an opportunity just so he can interview amongst a bunch of other highly qualified candidates when he has an offer in hand?

Tom Benson was dead or a vegetable for much of the team’s run from 2006-2020. The idea that Gayle is somehow holding the team back is nonsense.
