Wonder how much Julio Jones would cost. I certainly don't wanna pay him a lot, but I think I'd offer him an incentive contract. PFF rated him pretty solid last year. He was pretty good in 2020. Draft a guy to learn under him and MT

I think there's a few others in a similar situation. Played well but injured last year. Maybe we hear something today. Players we can get on discount and still get a big name late.

We resigned Jameis which gives us what we had last year.
We lost Williams and signed a solid safety from the Jets with an injury and DWI issue.
We have yet to sign a receiver and this really needs to be a priority.
We let Armstead walk, and we chose to do that since we had the cap space.
Draft is almost a month away and we have as many holes as we did before free agency began.
Your glass is half empty.
Every one of those things can be looked at in a positive light but you choose not to.

Saints are resigning WR Tre’Quan Smith per source.
And we still haven't signed a receiver

Not really. That's just called being a Homer

Swapped M.Williams for M.Maye, I don't think it'll be much of a drop off, plus we saved money
We saved money. That part is true

If you think any move we have made is considered a net positive then I don't know what to tell you.
We downgrade at Marcus Williams.
Jameis is a neutral signing.
We lost Armstead and while I was fine with letting him walk, I doubt his replacement will be the player he was.
We signed Kentavius Street...okay?
And now we just resigned TreQuan, who isn't a good receiver.
We have money so what are we doing here?

Y'all do this every off-season we don't sign alot of ppl lol
We were in cap hell and got Winston
No way in hell were we resigning Armstead and Marcus Williams at those prices.

quote:maybe... we didn't have Thomas on the field. If he comes back, that position is upgraded. He's elite at what he does, the rest of the WR corps all slide back to the next notch. If we can add the right #2 guy, this group goes from bad to damn good.

I feel like Deonte Harris has really solidified himself as number 2/3 WR. If we draft a guy i just dont see the need to sign a WR everyone is freaking out over.
Thomas/harris/draft pick/Callaway.
That would be fine. More concerned about TE

When was the last time we lost two ProBowl type players and our Head Coach?
This has not been a good offseason SO FAR. Not sure how anyone could look at it differently.
Its not a disaster or anything. Buts definitely underwhelming.

Also have to factor in that it looks like we won’t be bringing Kwon back either. Won’t be a total loss, but I expect a downgrade
If they are able to keep Winston and MT healthy for a full season, it should at least be an improvement from last year. But definitely underwhelming. We at least had the Watson excitement for awhile there

The Saints rarely make the big splash in free agency. They do really right now, with the second tear, cheaper, players that fit there systems, offense & defense it’s not over yet.

Losing CSP sucks and will be the hardest to replace.
I’m a big Williams guy but replacing him with Maye at that price is a win
We already play a bunch without Armstead. But Hurst played the 2nd most snaps on offense for us last year, graded out really well, and costs nothing.
We have cheaper, apt replacements that will step in for the two who left. We obviously aren’t done. We have money and picks and not many holes to fill on the roster outside of WR. The rest is going to be rotational depth

It use to be how are we going to get under the cap 70 million over. We are screwed.
Then it became my God all the good high priced FA's are going...wtf are we doing.
Can't win sometimes lol

Jameis is not a neutral signing. The team was totally different/better before he went down. Dumb statement.

Same fans that want to spend on the likes of MVS and Jarvis Landry are the same ones who will be bitching about their contracts and play in 6 months
