Saints fans are rejoicing everywhere. But please tell me what prevents us from being in the same situation the Panthers are in this year?Or the Giants? Or the Raiders? We have limited talent, limited capital, and our top players are getting old. Saints will be bad for the next three years at least.

Offense is a mess and don’t blame him too much for that, but my final straw has been the defense. That’s his baby and we have major issues over there right now.

It’s definitely not but you have to fire him still. We also need to just completely cut ties with the Payton era and that run of success and embrace a rebuild. Dennis was the face of the “continue to be all in” movement.
Also if DA’s defense could make a stop at the end of games we’d be 5-4. His defense completely fell apart against the eagles falcons and panthers in games where we needed one stop to win.

He was a bad coach. Micky did him no favors putting us in cap hell and having bad drafts and poor free agent decisions. A combo shite storm.

I agree that he needed to be fired. But some people are saying he is the worst coach in the league and are rejoicing like we just won the superbowl.

Triplett had a good line. It wasn’t all Allen’s fault but he didn’t have any answers either. He couldn’t fix anything.

Who gives a shite. He still sucks. Look at his career record. At some point you are what you are and we don’t need to be the charity case for experimental coaching.

You can't fix anything if the players lose confidence in you. That's what happened. He lost the locker room. Those player only meetings are because the HC sucks. But we need new players, new medical staff, new GM, coaches etc. This team is a disaster for a while.

I agree with what you are saying, but at the same time outside of a few teams that will pull the trigger fast there is always a process. The Saints just appear to be really slow at working through it, maybe because they struck gold with Sean? 
GM hires shitty HC. Shitty HC does shitty HC things. After 1 year HC messes with minor changes and gets same results. After year 2 HC changes coordinators and gets same results. Sometimes the front office will give the HC a chance with a rookie QB to prolong their stay a little longer. HC gets canned and GM gets to bring in a new guy. Process is repeated and the GM is termed with the 2nd (sometimes 3rd) HC.

Yes, it was also Mickey Loomis' fault. But Dennis Allen is a terrible coach and never should have been hired again as a head coach.

Recent history when Benson cleaned house after 1999 the next year we made the playoffs . Same after 2005.

At least try, because you just lost 7 games in a row. It very well may take a while, but you have to start sometime.

correct. It is Loomis' fault. All Allen did was accept a promotion. He not a good HC but the guy who hired him as HC is the guy who drafts Turner and Penning all while singing Carr and destroying the cap.
