Former #Saints S Vonn Bell has a new home, agreeing on a 3-year deal with the #Bengals, per
@MikeGarafolo
and me. Another big-time free agent acquisition for Cincy.

he was always "right place, right time"... esp. for fumble recoveries

still so mad the TD he scored in the 4th qtr of the playoff game against MIN was called back... and yes I know the player was clearly down by contact on replay... still though

Wish him well. He was a very solid safety for us, but unfortunately we have some difficult decisions to make.

This is a bad way to look at it. We didnt just have 2 offers and pick MJ. We picked MJ like a week ago. They made the decision to move on to other decisions and decide then on a fairly 50/50 call. Who knows what Vonn was asking for AT THE TIME.

Jenkins' leadership, communication, and being a released free agent all hold a lot of value at this time. I am a huge Bell fan though.

FWW ESPN says 3x18m

Former New Orleans Saints safety Vonn Bell is expected to sign with the Cincinnati Bengals, sources told ESPN.

Bell's deal is for three years and $18 million, a source told ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Bell, who turned 25 in December, has shown steady improvement since being drafted in the second round out of Ohio State in 2016.

The 5-foot-11, 205-pounder was an every-down player for the Saints when healthy in 2019. He set a career high with 89 tackles in just 13 games played, and he reeled in his first career interception. He also led the NFL with five fumble recoveries in the regular season -- then added a sixth in the Saints' playoff loss to the Minnesota Vikings.

1) Jenkins move was more about adding leadership to the secondary than upgrading the talent.

2)CGJ is better than Bell and would have replaced him anyway.
