Unfortunately, it seems 2025 #1 Draft Pick has to be a Offensive Tackle. AGAIN !!!

Penning sucks….. we need to draft another OT.

On The GOOD Side:
At least Saints have luxury to pick either best LT or RT …. cause Fuaga can play both and switch to either based on what the new tackle can do.

On the BAD Side:
Penning is so bad we can’t even keep him as a back-up tackle… cut his AZZ !

Drafting OL in the first rd is hardly ever a bad or unfortunate move. Yea Penning was a miss but I’m not ready to give up on him completely.

Maybe except if you are the Saints. Ruiz and Penning haven't lived up to 6th round expectations...let alone 1st round.

Im at the point where I think we should just sign a reliable FA right tackle next year if:
1) Fuaga is solid at LT
2) Penning is trash at RT

And then draft a WR, Dline, TE, or safety with your top draft picks.

Might just need to play LG in 2025 if he is just completely unable to pass block DE's.

No to cutting him.
But I am getting him a former ballerina who is a psychologist now to help him with his Frankenstein walk and mush brains.

Let’s just hope the new guy doesn’t suck a dick like penning.

Let me make a suggestion. Wd need to get someone else to draft players. We have too many busts.

Spend the money and sign Mekhi Becton to play RT.
Keep Fuaga at LT on a rookie contract.
Profit!

They wanted the man from MSU, but he was picked, so they reached for Penning. Penning is a OG or DE. He is never going to pan out at OT.

saints might as well hit the waiver wire for RT
Penning is not the answer
Only thing left is to try Penning at G

Good luck with that. Have you seen our cap? We won’t be able to match any team for a potential solid starter at OT. They don’t grow on trees.

Will Campbell and Fuaga would be one hell of a duo at tackle.

So tiresome. Have you just started following the Saints? If they want the player, they'll find the money.

There were plenty of vet right tackles on the market. I’ve been saying since last year move him to LG. Way to big a risk to count on him at RT and a guy we picked in the 4th to start at LG. Way to big a gamble to count on both of them.

Or we could have signed Peat to play LT and the rookie play RT. Either way. Loomis dropped the ball.

Peat went back home to finish his career. Nothing was happening here nor do I think he enjoyed his time here much. Certainly was not much loved by Saints fans. And the Saints made him a offer.

Four tackles are sitting at home right now that started last year.

Bahkatari, major injury issues.
Charles Leno
Donovan Smith
DJ Humphries, injured late in the year.

I’m thinking one of these guys can start. I’d like Humphries but he probs my won’t be healthy until later in the year.
