even though he ended up bring right, underhill pissed me off with how he handled the penning benching.

That's a 3 game stretch for Drew.

This organization deserves this for the lazy hires. Ive never been so ambivalent as a saints fan. This is a yo yo 8-8 team. Which is basically the worst thing you can be

No other staff in the NFL could survive this. But there’s no one at the top of the Saints organization to hold them accountable. Even though he must be fired I do have sympathy for Pete. He didn’t want the job and Loomis and Allen pressured him into taking it because nobody else wanted to work with Dennis Allen. But Allen himself and Loomis I have no sympathy for. They are single-handedly destroying everything that was built here. By the time they’re done, it really will be the same old Saints, back once again. It just makes me sick.

I agree with your point that there is no one to hold them accountable.
But you just made up the part about Loomis forcing Pete to take the job because no one wanted to work for Dennis Allen
Allen interviewed a couple people. It was his decision to beg Pete back. It was also his decision to not demote Pete in the off-season and bring in new blood.
For those reasons Allen should get fired after the year if things keep going in this direction. I'm not holding my breath

I’d feel the same if the shitty arse division wasn’t there for the taking for the eleventeenth fricking year in a row. we just need to be competent. It’s so annoying but i still find myself pretty excited on Sundays.

I wish I shared your excitement. I had gotten excited about the defense but Sunday’s defensive performance was almost as depressing as watching the offense. It was a reminder that the defense is good but not great when facing a QB with a pulse.

Glad I don’t have him on my fantasy team.

I fell into that trap last year. But even still, winning a shitty division then guaranteed bouncing in the first or 2nd round doesnt do much for me. Id rather us take our chances at a good qb in the draft. But sadly, i doubt we even have the courage to admit our mistake with carr

Serms like a theme in the once-great city of NO

It’s not even admitting a mistake. Carr has 3 years left on his contract after this season ends and will be 33 before next season begins. The Saints must get a young QB of the future and this is the draft to do it. If ever there was a time to do whatever it takes to get one, this is it. Surely they can’t be so dumb as to not see this, right….right?!

Pretty sure it was in reality a three year deal. So two years after this season. And I think we can actually get out of it after two years.

Does Underhill ever ask any hard hitting questions at press conferences? Or is he just a mouth piece for the organization?
