Wanted him in a big way...
But eff him if he doesn’t want us. Don’t blink and overpay.
We can use the $$$ to get more help.

He had a twinkle in his eye and said he had a great visit. Bottom line.... if he wants a chance to win a super bowl AND get paid he will come to NOLA... If he just wants to get paid then take your arse to the highest bidder. With that said we are elite defense if he comes here

In my opinion I do believe New Orleans may be his best option to get him his ring. Now we wait to find which he will choose the money or the team that has a great chance to win the superbowl next year lol that team being us

I did see that he was excited to be here so maybe that's a good sign

The fact that he left is a bad sign. Teams do not let free agents leave to go to other teams with the hopes of signing them later. It could happen, but if it was a sure thing, we would have closed the deal while he was here and not let him visit others (ala Jordy Nelson and the Raiders).

Saw a report om NFLN last night about how the Saints have been in on a lot of players but always trying to get them on a cheaper price. They mentioned Fuller, Wilkerson, Graham and Nelson. I wonder if we bid low on Suh.

Did not like his comment about his "tour." He may be wanting to visit several teams and we may need to move on if he stretches this out.

What isn't a good sign is that the Titans just released their starting NT as Suh is about to visit

Suh isn't a NT and doubt he'd want to play that

Agree but neither is Rankins, one of them is gonna have to play it and Rankins is definitely better suited for 3-tech

Has nothing to do with Suh. They were set to owe him more guaranteed money if not released today, he had a subpar year, and only started 11 of 15 games.

They want Suh because they knew they were releasing him, not the other way around.

Fairley and Rankins switched off when they played together. They'd do the same with Suh. Sometimes they'll even kick one out to end (they did that with Rankins and Onyemata this past year).

Also 4-3 NT isn't the same as 3-4 NT.

I realize that between 3-4 and 4-3 but usually the NT in either is still gonna be double teamed, especially against the run. I’m not disagreeing with everything but to be fair, Rankins and Fairley only played like 6 games together and Rankins definitely played mostly 3 tech

I would normally agree with that assessment but all that tells us is that we didn’t give him what he wanted 15 million a year. I hear we did offer him 10-11 million one year deal. Since no one is going to give him 15 we are still in this. He has more money than God so as long as we are close maybe

Doubt a guy like him is looking for a 1 year deal.

Oh well let’s pick up Bennie Logan to add to the rotation and get ready to draft

Does Sean Payton usually follow free agents before they sign here?

Maybe. Who knows. He probably made a friendship regardless of outcome
