There were many of us, mostly the more “seasoned” fans, who said of those who were in a hurry to push Brees out the door, that they had no idea how bad it could get.

No. I've been more frustrated with lousy ownership that refuses to move on from holding on to the regime for way too long. Should've moved on after 2018. If it wasn't going to happen then, it was time to move on. All the squirrels who are still mad about the non call in the NFCCG, should realize the play calling in the red zone. Run the ball, and kick the field goal. Besides, SP is the one of the most overrated coaches in modern history. A HOF QB for 15 years, one title, and a 9-8 career playoff record. It's time to completely blow up the franchise and start over. Too bad the socialite owner won't do that.

I was always won to cherish every game with Drew knowing this kinda thing was coming afterward. Those will always be the glory years and fondest memories.
In reality, it’s worse than I thought. I figured we’d be terrible and thus have some high draft picks that could turn it around. Worse, we’re mediocre. Too good to get that kinda draft pick, but too bad to do any better than a first round playoff exit

This is Saints football. The golden years are gone and they aren't returning anytime soon. The Payton Brees era is the exception to the norm. That shite isn't happening again.

This is part of the reason I wanted us to hire Jim Harbaugh when SP retired. He’s one of the few coaches that has a bigger ego than him and would have took over the organization and ran it the way he wanted.

I mean what is the goal...
If the goal is to win the Super Bowl...we are not close.
If the goal is to win the division and host a playoff game...that is still possible
If the goal is to win that playoff game with us likely be the 3rd but most likely 4th seed. Now ver likely being the 5th team will likely be Dallas or Philly.
Then what does it matter....

Drew did suck those last few years. Tom Brady was going to come here dog. We probably would have won a championship or two if drew had retired and we got Brady and Payton for 3 years

I totally expected this to happen. I never expected the Saints FO to figure out how to keep a SB winning Era rolling.
