Those who were frustrated with Drew the last 3-5 years...how do you feel now?

Feeling a little dumb and missing him yet?

2020 ST "He can only get the ball 15 yards down the field"
2023 ST "I'd fricking kill to get the ball 15 yards downfield"

Random fact. Derek Carr is only 7 months younger than Taysom Hill.

We were called many many bad names lol

I knew it was going to be bad. It’s highly unlikely the saints ever get a qb as good as Drew again.

It would likely help if they tried to.

people might have had knee jerk reactions in the moment, but no one truly believed we'd be better off once drew moved on. that's tomfoolery.

lol, there were a few suspects on this board calling for his head daily. If he had one incompletion, they wanted to trade him to the XFL

I mean both things can be true. Drew was washed by the end and our current QB play is atrocious.

Watching Winston heave a bomb into triple coverage last year was more than enough to miss him. Then I saw the preseason with Carr on offense and they looked good only to look like bubble guts water on offense makes me miss Drew even more

Yep. Don't understand how a noodle arm 41 year old Drew Brees costing us the last 2 or 3 years has anything to do with our shitty QBs and coaching costing us now.

As the great JoJo once said. "you don't know what you ahve until its gone"

No big name qb is gonna want to come to shithole New Orleans to raise his family we gonna have to draft a QB in the First round and probably several times before we get a generational talent like Drew again.

Lord of weird games this year though and this board has the tendency to overreact. For example, Miami blows out Denver by 50 then gets beat by 28 the next week. The Chiefs lose their home opener. The Bills lose their home opener to the Jets who coincidentally lost by 3 to the Chiefs last week. Dallas looks like world beaters their first two weeks then get dropped by Arizona of all people in week 3. Atlanta has regressed and TB will undoubtedly. Let’s just see how things go.

Tank for Michael Penix Jr or Shadeur Sanders

Drew Brees was the greatest thing to ever happen to the saints…
I wish he had stayed and kept playing past couple seasons… Would be a lot better then where we are now…
Too many fans bought into what media was saying with how he couldn’t throw it more than 20 yards so we need someone with a bigger arm… When in reality media wanted him out the league over politics bc he was still playing well compared to most QBs even without having as big of an arm as he once had…
Brees wasn’t what he was his last season but he was still very good. Fans took him for granted and thought it was just as much Sean Payton when it was really mostly just Drew Brees that made saints great…

I feel about the same as i do now. The only difference is i`m not as pissed off that we wasted all of Drew`s good years by not addressing the defensive concerns in some of those years, or the poor decisions Payton made at times. We probably never win the SB without Payton. I loved him as our coach, but he changed after the SB and his ego got in the way.
The playcalling of 2019 NFC Championship game was one of those. Even though i didn`t think that was one of our great years, we were robbed because of the play calling and then the officials in that order in that final game. We all knew that was our last chance with Drew.

I feel like I’m the only one who thinks that Andy Dalton was pretty good last year running this offense.
I wanted Carr and am not giving up on him yet, but Dalton was competent and took shots downfield at 3x the rate Carr has.

Drew Brees was 30-8 his last three seasons here
We’ve now lost 12 of of our last 21 games since 2022

The offense sure is humming right now. Glad we got rid of that noodle armed bastard
