I like giving shough every opportunity to succeed, sorry but our skill position players are not good. It’s a necessary gamble especially looking at what fell to us

We had the worst big play % of any offense last year.

Yes, they’ll need to manage some health issues

And you trust the Saints medical staff to do that?

People complained about Lattimore’s hammy and Patrick Peterson, both still had incredible careers

Would rather go 8-9 and have Shough take another step in a good offense than hope and pray Polk and Vele are worth a shite

Saints have shown three tendencies: drafting previously injured players for perceived value (Seeking Brees II syndrome), drafting unknown players from non-P4 schools (hidden gem syndrome...aka Jahri Evans affliction), and selecting players on athletic measurables, not necessarily demonstrated football abilities (Looks like Tarzan plays like Jane syndrome). Too bad we are seeing Mickey syndrome, (aka...I'm smarter than the rest of the GMs) play out once again.

Downs should’ve been the pick.

Cool. We also needed a top end receiver so we aren’t relying on Vele and Polk to support our 2nd year qb

WalterFootball loves the pick.

I don't get melting over it. I was hoping they would take a WR.

The Saints were able to get the No. 1 receiver in this class at No. 8. Great job! It’s nice that they can help a young (sort of) quarterback with an additional weapon, especially with Chris Olave being such an injury risk. Speaking of injury risks, Tyson has some durability concerns, but nothing like a knee or anything. Mike Evans also has hamstring issues, and I doubt the Buccaneers regret drafting and paying him.

Best comment I've read tonight on him.

you're right Sir.

I think the Saints also appreciated his tough journey up until now like Shough.

The concern is that there is a pattern that people who move like him get hamstring injuries or ACL tears.

Duck feet, plus medial ankle turning down and knee buckling in is the common pattern for ACL tears. Hopefully that won't be the case with him
