The #Saints HC plans this week:
— Interiew former #Dolphins coach Brian Flores tomorrow.
— Interview #Lions DC Aaron Glenn Wednesday.
— Interview current DC Dennis Allen on Wednesday or Thursday.
Perhaps one more, but as of now that’s it.

You should include the tweet we interviewed Pederson already.

Myself and a lot of other people assumed people would be jumping at the opportunity to hire Flores. Is it possible there is more behind the scenes that we don't know? A few teams have already passed on him. Guy must be a terrible interview

Flores and bring in Watson?
Obviously that is assuming everything with Watson goes away. If any criminal charges or cant settle his civil cases, then pass.

Apparently, Flores quit communicating with staff around Thanksgiving and told off the owner or GM. Sounds like he's got some baggage.

Def has some baggage he has to get in front of. But the only other interview I heard him linked to was NYG and that was right before the owner or GM came out and basically said Jones is their guy going forward. So, while he may be rubbing people the wrong way, it could also be a situation where he was selling him and Watson bc he didn't want another Tua situation. If the rumors of him & Watson being linked together are true, there are only a few spots available for that; Saints, Denver, and maybe Minn

I wouldn’t call it baggage unless I knew all the details. He seems like a strong minded coach that knows what he wants out of a franchise ( I could see Payton,Tomlin) doing the exact same thing if their organizations was not in lock step with their vision. But it wouldn’t be called baggage for them.

Really happy the Saints are doing their due diligence with this.

Defensive coaches are worthless

I wouldn't say worthless.
They just have to make the correct oc hires.
I'd rather go with an offensive coach. If they are going to hire flores they might as well keep allen.
Doesn't matter who you hire if you don't have a qb.

I can’t see Allen staying if he doesn’t get the head gig

And he shouldn't. He's proved himself more than capable of leading this team forward. Hiring another defensive guy over him would be a slap in the face.

He was fired for differences with higher ups and Tua. Maybe he has personality issues. No clue myself, just throwing it out there.

Why on earth would anyone want Flores?

Right. I said if you are going to hire flores as head coach you might as well promote allen.

I just want them to get the right guy. Whoever it is.
Don’t hire Allen because he is here or he “deserves” it. Hire him if he is the right guy for the job.
I’m a little wary of Flores. Just some of the rumors of fighting with people in the organization and other things don’t sound good. Then there is the fact that he’s a New England/Belichick guy and they never seem to work out.
I’m very intrigued by Glenn. He’s a player which helps him relate. He’s a quick up and coming guy similar to Tomlin resume wise. Worked as a scout for a minute. My only issue is that he was an assistant here, so I’m not sure how players would react to/treat him.

Pretty uninspiring list
I agree
After watching his press conference
I think the Giants got the best hire with Brian Daboll.
He’s impressive
I’m hoping we get somebody else besides what’s on that list

if your OC is good, he gets poached in 2 years.
That's kind of the point. Just hire a good offensive coach and be done with it
