Yeah there seems to be a lot of smoke behind both of those teams interest in Willis and Pickett. All their beat writers have been saying both teams have a lot of interest in both QB’s

As mentioned recently there are only about 20 true first rounders in this years draft. Saints not interested in any more first round reaches.

I doubt they are going QB in this draft. Not with the holes they have and no real need for a QB yet.
Yeah, not sure why everyone thinks QB is the play here.
Winston with a healthy O-line and better than a highschool receiving corp, with this defense, makes a run.

He had a 102.8 rating. 14 touchdowns to 3 interceptions. And this was with no NFL receivers. One of those interceptions was on a desperation heave too. So really the man was 14/2

Lol the QB draft definitely isn’t weaker in 23.
Agreed...
Bryce Young
CJ Stroud
Tyler Van Dyke
3 guys that would easily be top of this year's class

Like I said….we played a conservative as shite offense.
Winston’s average yard per completion was about on par with Brees’s dead arm
And now we don’t have savior Sean to develop him like so many on here said would happen

What are you talking about? Winston was at 12.3 yards per completion. The highest in the nfl was 12.7 last year. Brees in his last season was at 10.6.

Jake Haener
Tanner McKee

Jaren Hall
Tanner Mordecai

prepare yourself for drafting 2 OL at 16 & 19

Maybe 2 of those guys you listed become a really good player.
Posted on 4/4/22 at 5:32 pm to tigersquad89
Not sure they are finished. Could trade up in the first for the two picks we have.
Posted on 4/4/22 at 5:47 pm to tigersquad89
Maybe the Saints have established a "window" for a run for the Superbowl. Lets say its 3-4 years. Two first-round players this year would be worth more than one this year and one next due to experience.

More comp picks should be coming as well with the departures.
Don’t forget about the very distinct possibility we get draft picks when Payton coaches for the Cowboys.

This trade gives the saints lots of draft flexibility. Depending on how the draft is going and who their targets are, they could use one pick to trade down, still get their player, and pick up 2nd or 3rd round picks.

I would tend to feel sorry for you because you’re obviously not too smart.
But the only way this is a good trade is if the saints nail the draft picks. Which you can say for any team in rye nfl any year. “Draft good and you’ll be good”. Ok. Thanks lol
