Cam Ward is the best QB in a very mediocre QB class - probably one of the weaker ones in recent drafts. It has nothing to do with LSU.

Our roster has huge holes. But you trade for a QB if he’s your guy. Plain and simple. Deal with the rest later.

If that was the case I’d think they would have been active in the QB market in free agency. Word is they are looked in on Ward.

I don't think very many people in this thread have seen Ward play. Watch 2 minutes of any random highlight video and they'll see insane arm talent that would be coveted in any draft class. I feel like some people are looking at this weak QB class and holding it against him.

Carr’s horrible contract doesn’t magically disappear if you draft a starting QB in a rookie salary.

All of that can be true fyi.

The only position you should trade up for is QB but trading up to #1 cost multiple first round picks. hard to build a team around a young QB giving up your next 2 firsts ask Carolina how that’s working out. How many teams that have done that has it worked? I’d rather stay put and take Sanders or Dart. And anyone melting over taking Dart, were you melting about the prospect of taking Mahomes at 11 in 17? Trading back into the first to take Lamar?

How often has that worked out well for teams that do that?

Sorry I didn’t make it clear but I meant moving up to #1. KC moved up to 10 to get Mahomes (the Saints pick 9 this year) they gave their 1 in that draft (#27) a 3rd and 2018 #1 (#22). They were already a playoff team that had hit a ceiling with Alex Smith that’s the perfect time to move up for a QB since they were not giving up to 10 picks. Buffalo also did not move up to 1-2 for Allen and had an extra 1 from the trade with KC so also a different scenario.

I thought of Washington and RGIII and obviously it’s impossible to say how it would have worked if he had stayed healthy but they gave up 3 1s #6-#22-#2 that a lot for a team that wasn’t good

I could definitely be wrong but I think both Sanders and Ward are going to be flops.

I actually think Dart has the best career of the 3.

A lot of people will pass up our maybe opportunity at a Mahommes because....well they don't have real legit reasons.

Aww..not. I like Cam but we can wait until next year to get our QB, concentrate on the ancillary pieces.

The Falcons strategy is paying off for not taking this advice.

Saints will apparently have a decently large contingent at Miami's ProDay today

Yup. Makes it seem like most on here dont watch football much at all.

They just check the ever fluctuating salary cap, compare it to other teams, ignore facts, and dump on the Saints. Playing couch Gm.

If you like football at all then you probably watched some Cam Ward highlights/games from last year.

If you sre really interested in the football/draft then you would actually watch some Ward highlights from this past year.

Yes, his arm is crazy.
