OL seemed better in second half again at least. Overall I’d say it’s easily the weak spot of the team but truthfully those are two of the best defensive fronts we will face the entire season. If we struggle against Green Bay then I’ll worry.

Kenny Clark, R Gary and P Smith for the Packers…not a bad pass rush. They do only have 4 sacks so far this season though.

He struggled but like week one got better in second half. The fact that he looks a little better week to week is encouraging.

He really is the key to the season.
If he becomes that franchise LT like the Saints are hoping for then this team can be very scary.

He was great in run-blocking, but an absolute disaster in pass protection.

He had a few 1 on 1 where he got beat (Justin Houston sack), but for the most part be held up with chips and even on his own.
Ruiz getting straight beat 1 on 1 bh luvu was really shocking though

Penning is struggling mightily with edge rushers that lineup way outside.. Basically he's dropping into position and having to make a quick decision on what kind of move the rusher will make, and guessing wrong almost every time.
Normal fronts he's not horrible but the whole line is having trouble with stunts and Carr is not exactly quick to progress thru reads
I'm not sure why but we are running ZERO screens - RB or TE - to help slow down the edge guys. Maybe they're waiting for Kamara to get back to add those pages back to the book

He got pancaked right onto Shaq Thompson's lower leg while Thompson was tackling Taysom... likely ending Thompson's season
So there's that
So there's that

Penning got beat a few times but is getting better. Much better run blocking than pass
Hurst got beat a couple times. Was having an off game.
Ruiz got bulldozed on a couple plays.
I personally think a few of the offensive players had kind of an off night last night. Carr definitely looked like he was off.
Hopefully they fix that this week and continue to gel together

Carr was shockingly off target on a couple throws where he had time… I’m going to assume it was just an off night

He was bad in Pass and great in Run, but better than last week.

Some were miscommunications / throwing to a spot rather than bad accuracy
Tony Jones at goal line - rb fault
Thomas in the flat - Carr’s fault
I think there was another but can’t recall

They’re gonna tell ya Brian Burns ate his lunch all night
Posted on 9/19/23 at 8:50 am to GynoSandberg
Burns wasn't a problem at all last night which was pretty weird.
Luvu ate the interior's lunch though, particularly Ruiz it seemed to me. I'm not an OL expert though

D in pass protection.
B in run situations.

He’s going to struggle in pass blocking with fast DEs in obvious passing situations. Pete is too dumb to adjust his play calling to accommodate this.

We have barely run a single screen, but maybe we just can't without Kamara.

He also isn't seeing the stunts. There was 1 in particular where the dline crashed forcing him to his right, and the LBer ran right by him on his left. He had no idea the LBer got back there

He got after Ram early. They slid Moreau over there most of the game to help him
