Looking at the team, I only see 2 glaring weaknesses:

We are awfully thin at boundary corner. We have plenty of guys who can play the slot, but if we suffer an injury to lattimore or jackrabbit, oh lawd.

Like boundary corner, we have good first line talent at coverage LB. kiko and anzalone can cover, but if they go down, it could get ugly. We don’t know what we have in kaden Ellis, so that could be a pleasant surprise. Baun looked adequate during the season but during senior bowl practices he was literally tripping over his own feet.

If we avoid the injury bug, we are solid. If we suffer a key injury to CB or LB, we could be really fricked.

Eli Apple or darqueze dennard for a boundary corner

Nigel Bradham, Hassan reddick, Alec olgetree for lb depth

Maybe a wide receiver would be another addition if the right player in the right spot.

We'll see if Larry Warford gets dealt to get a pick tomorrow.

there’s still a few quality WRs and CBS left on the board if we traded Warford for an earlyish 4th

I’d say we still need a backup QB, another WR, DT, and CB

But all those positions are like 3rd and 4th string so we are in a good spot.

Think it’s more likely we cut warford and then deal a 7th round pick next year for a high paid-disgruntled vet like we did with Apple and Jenkins

I honestly don’t think there is a DT available that will make the roster. Go look at the depth chart. We are deep af at DT.

We're a weird system, kinda hard to fill, but equally hard to defend.

Taysom Hill is NOT the backup QB, he's Offensive Multitool #2 (Kamara isn't strictly the main RB, he's Offensive Multitool #1).

The way we use those guys, we need an experienced backup QB (ala Bridgewater), and don't need another WR as much.

I honestly would try to work out a deal with Apple to come back.

I think we are fine at lb now
I think the biggest need is a corner

There is a team out there with a decent boundary CB that will take Warford and a 2/3 round pick next year for him.

Eli Apple would be a last ditch option since if he signed with another team we get a comp pick for him next year and I believe it would be a 3rd rounder. So no on Apple.

Blake Bortles for backup QB
Nigel Bradham
Jordan Matthews

All would be good signings

Trade Warford for a backup OT

I don't see LB being an issue. You only need 2 guys 67-75% of the snaps. Davis, Anzalone, Alonso, Baun, Robertson, and Ellis are more than good to cover that.

Backup outside corner is a concern but also not a need (call it a very high want). PJ and PRob have played there (though I REALLY hope neither has too as they are vastly better nickels and struggle greatly outside) so we wouldn't be 100% fricked. Just 63%.

I don't see anything else even close to a need. We will get a 3rd QB but that's more a formality than a need. WR is okay for this year (Sanders is a legit 2 and Smith is fine as a 3). 4th HB is also a formality.

Everywhere else has depth.

Why DT? We have Onyemata, Rankins, Brown, Tuttle, and someone I know I'm forgetting. You only bring 4 or 5 into the season and we have that.

The others I addressed in my post.

4th at best, but likely a 5th. Unless he somehow gets a bigger contract than what LV offered.

But he also has to sign before June 1st to count. If he isn't signed by then I wouldn't mind bringing him back.
