He was better at his job. And he hired the best up and coming OC in the league

Moore got too much praise for the Eagles run. He was doing dumb shite that year too. Sirianni was well on his way to getting fired. What saved them that year was another Saints week 3 collapse that salvaged their season. Then they backed into the Super Bowl again.

That’s because he is. He has no clue what he is doing. At least DA knew defense

Remember how many people passed on this job until they got to him. There's a reason.

He’s not. We still have an awful roster.

Dennis Allen had Paytons players and talent. Kellen has a bunch of 2nd and 3rd year players who should be backups on NFL rosters starting

This. We still had a somewhat solid foundation from the Peyton holdovers and some unfortunate injuries (shocker!) mixed with DA’s ineptitude cost us a couple playoff appearances. It was a huge blessing in disguise though because Mickey would have given DA a lifetime contract. I think Kellen is about even or a better head coach at this point because we know for a fact that DA is a terrible HC and Kellen doesn’t have a large enough sample size. However, Kellen is in huge danger of being equally as bad or worse.

I mean Eagles offense hasn’t been the same since he left.

This is what keeps getting forgotten. Nobody wanted this job, because they saw just how awful this roster is along with the inadequacies of the front office. Moore was pining for his chance and took it. He was a crap shoot, and so far he's coming up with all sevens.

The sad part is that outside of Shough I don't think there's anything that has changed since he has taken over that would encourage any top coaching talent to want to come here. We have a severe lack of talent and depth.

1. McCarthy wanted to come
2. Shough is the primary reason a coach would want to come here, plus we have a ton of cap room going forward. Oline has a lot to work with, just need a finishing piece at RT. It's a good situation now

If Carr doesn’t get hurt at Green Bay, the Saints go 10-7 in 2023 and DA would’ve gotten a 3-5 year extension.

DA might not have been the best HC but at least his defenses were solid which is what his background is.

Kellen supposed to be an offensive guy and our offense sucks.

Seems to have Rodgers playing well. What was his cowboys record again?

McCarthy just became a meme because he’s fat. He was always a good offensive/qb coach. He had Aaron Brooks putting up near pro bowl seasons in the early 2000s. Brooks lasted two seasons in the NFL without him. The boy wonder in GB hasn’t won anything of consequence after he left.
