re: Starting to think Moore might be worse than Dennis Allen

Dennis Allen had Paytons players and talent. Kellen has a bunch of 2nd and 3rd year players who should be backups on NFL rosters starting
Dennis Allen is in no way a HC. I’m starting to think Moore isn’t either. Even outmatched. You’d think we’d start to see at least attempts of outwitting some of these defenses even if we don’t have the horses to always exploit them.
Everything just looks so blah.

The sad part is that outside of Shough I don't think there's anything that has changed since he has taken over that would encourage any top coaching talent to want to come here. We have a severe lack of talent and depth.
There’s light at the end of the tunnel cap wise now at least.

Kellen Moore has a bottom 5 talented roster in the NFL on the field the past two weeks. Most coaches couldn't win with the players on the field.

Not the offense or OLine. this failure falls squarely on him

I would replace the entire right side of the line but my first priority on the OL would be replacing RG. I want to see Fuaga get snaps there because I still think there’s hope he can be a starter in the NFL, just maybe not at tackle. McCoy is washed up, too many injuries and if Fuaga can make the shift inside to RG then we save some money by not having to replace RG outside the facility. We can find solid options at C and RT in the round 2-4 range but we need to do our homework. Then you have to look at corner and DE. I hope Bresee coming back helps the interior DL and there is good talent showing with Boyd and Broughton showing flashes. Who knows about Miller but so far he looks like a wasted 2nd round pick. I think it’s very clear Kool-aid is NOT a #1 corner and he’s at best a fringe #2 but more likely a slot guy. Safety actually has some promise with Sankey. Reid and Blackmon are better players than they have shown this year and I want to see Jayden Price get a chance also. You can basically throw a dart at our depth chart and hit an area of need. QB and LT are the only spots that really I like where we are at and hopefully WR once we see what Tyson has.

I guess that’s why the team is undisciplined, poorly prepared, and calls plays that even Brees was disgusted to watch. Muh talent

Absolutely, I think it's way too early to give up on him especially with our investment. He was projected to be a potential RG coming out so I think that move is natural. If we can get a legit starter at RT in FA, I would probably go that route if we aren't top 5 in the draft.
Definitely need a CB and another DE opposite Chase. He's about to get paid bigly and not sure what Granderson is going to command when his deal comes up. Grando might be a cap casualty.

Fuaga was a good starter his rookie season under a different regime. Kind of like how we signed the best guard in FA and he suddenly sucks. What could it be

Granderson looks to have lost a step to me, that’s an area we need to draft because good starting DE rarely make it onto the open market. I’d love to get someone like Trey’Dez Green at TE to play 2 TE sets with Green and Johnson would be really beneficial to Shough giving him huge targets to throw to but we have to protect him first or none of that matters.

He does. So do many below average HCs.
The truly good ones at least have their teams prepared even if they’re outgunned. Even at full strength we’ve come out flat as hell in periods of games where everything is scripted.
Not saying he’s terrible but I don’t think he’s necessarily great either.

I'm with you that this staff is making the line regress, but still think he isn't quite what we imagined when we picked him. I also don't think he has the length or strength you'd really prefer, plus the back injuries are weird this early in his career

The Saints played the best defense in the NFL this past week and they have no talent at skill positions other than Olave.

Olave, Vele, Fant and Johnson is plenty of talented targets to be able to win and not look incompetent as a team.
And that doesn't account for being down 21-0 to the Lions or getting stomped by the Falcons
The problem? blocking, playcalling, scheme --> head coach

He’s a guard, just not quick enough to play tackle in the NFL. At Oregon State he was fine out there but it’s a big step up. Kick him inside, shoot Ruiz to the moon and put someone at RT until you can replace that position in the offseason. McCoy is cooked but we will play him next year because he’s under contract. There’s no way you can play another year with Ruiz on the roster.

The Saints have two guys putting top 5 numbers at their skill positions. Both played Sunday. That narrative on offense is so lazy. Defense? Sure. Defense wasn’t the problem Sunday

The Bears, who some say have the best rushing offense in the NFL with Caleb Williams scored 3 on this defense.

I guess our offense is more talented then, zimmy

I don't know about Moore, but this team won't sniff a deep playoff run with Mickey at the helm.
