Yeah you are right. Fiscal responsibility and having cap space like almost every team in the league would be bad

No, you're right. I'm using this damn voice recorder on my phone.
I'm thinking more of the most recent injury where he went airborne trying to get a first down against the Giants in that ugly win and breaking his wrist. Call it hindsight but that was pretty stupid of him.
Bottom line is that he's gotten injured both years. He's been here.
Im I guess we really shouldn't be surprised by this though. Loomis there's these asinine comments during his press conferences and to really think that changes were coming just because we got a new revamp staff I guess was a big leap of faith.

I am eating a tasty dirt clod Sammi right now. I hoped for FO change but no. Same dirt different day.

Great to see the GM still making personnel decisions even with a new coach. Sounds like success out the gate.

Carr will get the new coach fired.
Stop delaying the inevitable and tear it down and start over.
He’ll regret not throwing Carr in the trash dumpster.

It was going to be next to impossible to become compliant without Carr on the roster for next yr.

Now he won’t. Kellen Moore is not tied to Derek Carr.
Don’t go jumping off any bridges just yet.

Win what with? 7 games?
That's the problem. Carr is good enough to have us at 6-11 and keep us from getting a high draft pick.

There are no better options out there that we can afford to cut Carr and sign. Keep him for one year of the "reset" and then let him go unless he shows us something we haven't seen before.

I hate to say it, but as I’ve said here before, with respect to our salary cap situation, we’re essentially stuck with Carr for another year.
If we had a real general manager who was concerned with a long term good of the team, the Saints would be dumping all of our f*cked up contracts right now so that we could rebuild in 3 to 4 years.
Unfortunately, we’ve got this f*cking moron Loomis who is only interested in making himself not look “too bad“ so that he can keep his f*cking job.
Hence, we’ll see more restructuring of worthless contracts and living in salary cap f*cking hell for the next 10 f*cking years while not winning a damn f*cking thing.

What else do you expect them to do? It's not as if there are a ton of options
I expect them to directly address as the #1 priority, our salary cap situation so that the franchise can have a realistic shot of competing in 3-5 years.
What is it you expect them to do?

This is what I would do.
Carr gets a lot of criticism on here, but I haven't heard anyone come up with a realistic better idea for next year.
I think you are answering the wrong question.
If you make a decision like this with such narrow vision that it's made based on whether he's the "best idea for next year" then you deserve everything you will get over the next 5 years.
