‘drewbrees: Nothing like watching Braveheart to get you fired up! “They May take our lives, but they will never take...Our Freedom”
————————————————————————————-

I think Brees is just trying to restore his ‘tough-guy”, All American,, “let freedom reign” image. All this after giving up his freedom of speech to a bunch of leftist.

Time to let it go. It is a mistake to put Brees or any human being on a pedestal and never expect them to make a mistake or say or do the wrong thing. You set yourself up for major disappointment. I have always pretty much had conservative values and beliefs but I would be a total Jackass to land on the side of every thing that is conservative. You can believe that black lives matter and also stand for the flag. We can also demand that the last line of the pledge of allegiance is upheld for everyone
(with liberty and justice for all) while standing for the flag. I believe that Drew would have done better by saying I will continue to stand for the flag of our country but I also swear to stand with you and for your rights as stated in our pledge. Where Drew is concerned an old saying.
" Silence is often misinterpreted but never misquoted."
Where the rest of us are concerned involving Drew or any mortal man
" Never look up to anyone and never look down on anyone."

This just solidifies for me that Drew is just a simple guy who is incredibly gifted to play QB and that’s it. He obviously lives in a bubble and focuses on his family and football.

I don’t see anything wrong with this, many average people do the same. Focus on work, family & hobbies.

Drew also invests his time and money though, he’s given back to communities through his charities and philanthropy. Most simple people don’t have the money to do that, but also no interest to. That along with his innate leadership qualities and obvious talent has always set him apart in my eyes.

I remember watching Braveheart in high school. Our class teacher was also a football coach. During one part of the movie the majority of the class busted out laughing and the coach stood up and yelled “If Braveheart was here today he’d kick all your asses ya bunch of fruitcakes.” Then stormed out to take a shite in the gym.

Obviously this was back before everyone was coddled and offended by everything.

Someone should tell Cam Jordan to stay off twitter.

Someone should tell Michael Thomas to stay off twitter.

Someone should tell Tom Brady he's not posting enough twitter.

I'm sorry , is there concern England will be mad at Brees for watching Braveheart? Or the horse loving community? Or the kilt wearing community ?

What's the problem here?

Im not triggered, but it is better to just stay quiet. You literally just caved and gave up your freedom of speech and now want to quote people who literally died fighting for their freedom?

It just makes him look stupid.

Everyone? No.

It's indicative of how a lot of people feel.

Drew Brees posting this is like a softball to everyone who feels betrayed by how easily he laid down to the SJW mob.

It's interesting that you are only questioning how his comments will be taken by the mob, though. I'll point out that Mel Gibson is pretty widely regarded as an overt racist who has used the N word.

How many SJWs do you think it would take to start the ball rolling downhill against Brees once again for supporting someone like Mel Gibson?

Did he skip the ending where William Wallace doesn't bend the knee to tyranny and the mob in power

Or does he identify most with Robert the Bruce?

If DJ wants to learn how to really hate Jews, he should talk to Mel 'Braveheart' Gibson.

That dude says some serious Hitler shite about Jews.

This is a man that thought buying a diamond was a good investment.

He’s a moron put on a pedestal in this twisted perversion of reality that we all live in.

As noted, he got hammered back on twitter. He should have a good idea of what former fans think of him. He needs to take his millions & go back to his mansion in San Diego. If he stays and for some reason stumbles out the gate, it could get brutal. Of course, fans being fans, the Saints start off 5-0 or better, all will be forgotten. Whichever way the chips fall, he's made his own bed now.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with that. Before social media no one would have ever even known.

I’m just saying, if it was me I’d be self aware enough to know I just did something seen as cowardly by many many people. Maybe don’t comment on fricking Braveheart. Just my opinion.

..I figured it was because people would get mad about him "quoting Mel Gibson" or something
