You ready to eat crow or do you know more about football than our head coach? There were quite a few of you….

Im just pissed that we could have resigned m Williams with Winston’s money like I suggested in the off-season.

1-3 with a journeyman backup QB is the hill you want to die on... Interesting decision.

Oh and that one win was because of the 3rd string QB running all over the place.

So he’s 1-3 instead of the other guy who is 1-2?

Defense has been dead last in points allowed in the entire league since Dalton took over.

You should be pissed that we didn't re-sign Williams with the money we spent on Maye and Honey Badger. They cost more than him together and have been half as effective, if that.

Dalton to me seems to be a capable QB. He’s as good as his surrounding cast which hasn’t been good. He throws a pretty ball but he’s not going to carry a team on his back!

Why is every statement posters don’t agree with the “hill to die on” ?

How many points did the offense average in games Winston started versus Dalton? Did Taysom generate zero points in our first 3 games?

At this point QB is just one, in a long list of problems on this dumpster fire team/season.

IMO the bigger problem is the player/players who are seemingly quitting on the team because they don't like the decisions being made. Oh I'm sorry, I didn't mean to downplay his devastating hangnail injury. Godspeed for a speedy recovery, prayers up homie..

Are you suggesting some players are mailing it in because of a cracka at the trigger?

It's practically all he posts

Less. Now look at how horribly those games were called too. When they trotted Dalton out there it looked like a ball control scheme with very safe throws. Nothing like what was being called with Winston.

He had the initial score of the season. Don't be obtuse.

For the record, I don't think our future QB is on the roster, but I would definitely prefer to see Winston over Dalton but with Carmichael calling the game the same way.

I didn't but the fact that Dalton is starting does not prove that wrong, only that this coach has decided that Dalton is the better person to start right now. And I'm OK with that.

If we think the future Saints QB is on this team, then it has to be Winston soon. If not, I could see thinking that Dalton as a stopgap is not much different than Winston as a stopgap.

I don't think there is any crow to be eaten here.

Based on his pre-injury games last season, there was a lot of hope that Winston might be the future QB. If we didn't sign Winston, we would have been looking for someone else, maybe gone all in on Watson?

In my opinion, Williams wasn't a really a sign Winston casualty. It was getting undercut on Mahomes or not drafting a decent QB in the last 2 or 4 drafts casualty.

Here's your attention. Cool, you got something right, guess it was a matter of time after posting on the board for almost 4 years.

FYI, if you actually gave a shite about reading other opinions that may differ from yours; majority of the posters that say a healthy Winston is a better QB than Dalton, were also admitting that it was apparent Winston is not a better fit for this system. For whatever reason, Pete calls a more balanced game plan for Dalton, which allows the offense to get in a rhythm.

See, no idea what you're talking about. Winston's cap hit is $4M. That was not keeping the team from bringing MW back. That same HC that you want to pat on the back for changing QBs when it was the obvious move (1-2 weeks before he made the move) elected to let MW walk. Also, MW signed with Balt the same day Maye signed with the Saints; both 1-2 weeks before Winston signed with the Saints and when the team was flush with cap space. They were just hung up in the Watson fiasco.
