IF Payton is trying to move way up now, I wonder if he regrets winning that fricking meaningless finale.

JLC; dr
Dude is awful. I unfollowed him during the World Cup because he's a USMNT fan like Rantards are LSU fans. It was embarrassing. That, plus the endless Baltimore/Natty Boh homer shtick.

Jason LC blowing smoke. Only way we move up to 2 is if we trade Drew. Not gonna happen.

This.
Pretty much says since we have accumulated picks and Brees is getting up there in age and has a big contract that could be traded next year, that we could move up for him.
That's it. Pretty much saying we have the assets to move up. But nothing in there tells me that we are trying to move up to the #2 spot.

we've already given the idea that we would trade up to draft Mariota or Winston WAY more ink than it deserves. Let's let it go.

They want us to be Seattle in the near future?
Power run game. Cheap defense. Mobile quarterback?

Whether or not he wants to move up, Payton should already be regretting it. Especially with the way this off season has gone. He plays SJB and others who need to be on the field and they maybe lose to TB. If they win, great. But to really go for it while TB is laying on the ground was pitiful.
The Saints could be picking #9 with a shot at players who won't be there at #13 like Cooper, White, Scherff, Beasley, possibly Collins. If those guys are gone and of course the Williams, Shelton, Fowler, Gregory etc crew are gone, who do the Saints pick?
And just like the thread I asked why would you win that last game, I'm sure I'll get people questioning my "fandom"

I hated that we won that game too. Would have preferred to give Griffin snaps if they really think he's a part of our future.

Spot on. Play the young guys and let them go for it instead of just padding Brees stats in meaningless game.

That just wasn't going to happen
That's not how CSP/Drew are

Right, because we such a great drafting history.
It doesn't matter where you draft. Playmakers are everywhere and in every round and if we can't find one outside of the top 10, that has nothing to do with the talent pool and everything to do with our incompetence.

So the mere fact that 12 players will be gone before the Saints pick, thereby eliminating players they would want, doesn't matter?
Yes, there are always players fond later in the draft who shine and the Saints have found a few themselves. But lets not act like a player of Williams caliber wouldn't make an immediate impact for the Saints. We have no shot at him or the others I listed above. All players who will likely make a difference this year. If all those players are gone that I listed, that does change things a bit don't you think?

No one in the top 10's ever busted, amirite?

Supposedly in order to draft Mariotta.

Had a dream it was our 31st pick and Cameron Jordan for the #2 pick. So yeah... Be looking out for that.

Leonard Williams' potential > Cameron Jordan + 31st pick
I'd take it!
