This was actually a really good throw. The coverage was really good, so I won’t totally blame Olave there…….would have been a difficult catch

Careful Bud, you can’t have common sense around all of these Rattler fanboys

You shouldn’t be since he’s a rookie playing in his first game halfway through already in a big deficit. He actually looked pretty good.

What about Rattler’s play makes you mad Shough is getting a chance? Be very specific

Excuses for one QB that aren't fair game critiquing the other? Gotcha!

Dude is arse and I want to punch more in the mouth for taking rattler out with me 3 completions and 35 yards from 2000$ Im red in the face about that.

What pisses me off more is that somebody else fumbled yet that made you pull rattler?? I could’ve accepted it more if ratler was pulled immediately after his own turnover.

I hope you people complaining about Shough realize how may reps the backup QB gets during practice. He hasn't had any significant reps since training camp. It makes a difference.

It was the mfer first game starting from behind. Let's see what he looks like after having 12 games like Rattler had.

Are you comparing it to Rattler's first game in the NFL?

Rattler has had 15 games of grace. Maybe we go back to him if Shough sucks?

I actually think Rattler has exceeded expectations especially for a fifth rounder. Happy for him and think he’s an asset.

In no way shape or form has he played well enough, or the offense played well enough, to block Shough from getting starts to finish out the season.

Most of us aren’t positive or convinced Shough will be the answer, or even better than rattler. But rattler clearly isn’t the answer so we need to try the guy drafted in the second round

Another one of those Rattler dick suckers I was referring to earlier
yeah I never referred to rattler as a franchise changing QB1

I said he was the best one we have in the current QB room. Go back and look if you desire but at best I said he fit the system KM runs better than Shough

Good try though

Dude the zip on his balls was stunning, and they were mostly accurate. That throw to a perfectly covered Olave on the sideline was special. I mean, Olave dropped it, as usual, but that throw was absolute perfection.

It makes all the difference. He looked every bit as good as Rattler, with better ball placement, and he hasn’t had any reps.

If people are bitching about Shough…..they have a different agenda.

Now on the flip side, if he isn’t progressing a lot by the end of the season……you know you have to draft a QB. Hence why it was time to make the move anyway

Honestly this is all it is at this point. We should all just consider this whole season as an extended 2025 pre-season. So now it's Shough's half to play and show what he's got.

Nothing more or nothing less than that as the reality here. Decisions will then be made in January-March with the data from these weeks.

If this staff can't figure at least that part out, then I'd like to submit my resume to be part of this front office.

He had velocity with the throw. Timing with his main two (Olave & Shaheed) are off, but that was expected mid-game without reps.

It makes sense when Brandin Cooks & him are on the same page since I imagine that's who he practices with the most of the top 3 guys.

The reality is you NEED to give him a chance to see what you have out of him, because if not it makes the obvious choice to bring in a veteran to contend with him next year or sideline coach/backup.

We have so many gaping holes going into next year:
In no particular order:

Offense:
OG - someone to take Penning's place or Ruiz's; it would be dumb to try to replace both in 1 offseason
C - McCoy is officially injury prone
WR - especially if Cooks & Shaheed are moved
TE - Foster is who he is and Johnson is nothing more than a big body that is 50/50
RB - AK's legs are done

Defense:
DE - hopefully a generational talent to come in for a decade because Young & Granderson are just average guys
LB - DD will fall off at some point & Werner is not that dude
DT - these guys are just average
CB - one more guy; IMHO McKinstry and Taylor took huge leaps this year despite some down games.

They will be back when Shough makes a bad play, which he will.

They are a strange bunch
