I think they covered most of their bases. I don’t think they got any “steals” or drafted any guys too high. The worth of the guys drafted will show in time, but I give them an A, a 9, for a good roster building draft which we needed.

Saints drafted for need so can't be mad at that. I mean we will know after this season ,but there were no big reaches or anything that can be considered a really dumb move. I give it a 7 overall so far and could go up or down depending on hits or misses.

This article shows Kiper giving the Saints a B- grade. Does that mean that he had 30 other grades between A+ & B?

Do you know how ridiculous this sounds? Everyone likes to say this sort of thing because Kiper is wrong on his mock drafts. Do you really think that you know more than someone who has studied 10,000+ players for the draft in his career? That doesn’t make him always right, I agree, but you can’t just offhandedly dismiss him because you, a fan, like this draft class. You objectively know a fractional amount about the sport and player evaluation.

this is a hard one. I have no doubt everyone they drafted was the top player at that position when picked.
For example I know Foskey seemed like a reach but if you look a the other DE available he was at least on equal ground with them all. Now were their other players available at different positions that were considered better prospects? By all accounts yes. This is the first time I can remember drafting for need all the way through we will see if it pays off.
Personally I give it a 6 but who am I but a random dude on a message board.
