1. Gibbs, rb - bama
2. Skinner, s - Boise st
3. Hooker, qb - Tenn
3. Benton, dt - Wisconsin
4. Iosivas, wr - Princeton
5. Zavala, G - NC state
5. Incoom, de - CMU
7. Luepke, FB - Ndsu
7. Morris, T - Oklahoma

I hope they're light on what we get for Payton, but deep down, I think they're close.

Thoughts?

Gibbs is such a Kamara clone that it's scary

I think they're close, and I'd be happy with the draft.

Do we need an AK clone or would a tank bigsby in middle rounds be better? Maybe Gibbs would allow us to trade AK

I'll take that draft.
If Benton performs, that draft might help fill most needs.

so why are we drafting a Kamara clone with an offensive staff who doesn't know how to use the Kamara we already have?

Still holding out hope that Payton throws us a bone by "stealing" Pete.

I like Pete, but I knew he was in over his head when underhill spent the bye week saying we haven't used motion like at all. Then we magically used motion the whole game vs falcons. If our OC is taking advice from underhill, we have an issue

Here’s what we’ll say the Saints get back from Denver in exchange for Sean Payton:

2023 first round pick (No. 30)
2023 third round pick (No. 68)
2023 fourth round pick (No. 108)

New Orleans throws in its 2023 fourth rounder (No. 115)

Such a stupid thing to do and something Loomis always does. Instead of throwing in a 4th to get a slightly higher 4th, why not just demand a 5th for an extra player?

he's a fine RB prospect but we have other holes to fill before taking a RB in round 1

Right. This is a good RB draft. Gibbs is not Kamara either, he is much smaller.

Great. A clone of a player we already have who was improperly utilized by the unimaginative offensive coordinator we're bringing back for next season.

Peak.

I'm not used to us having that many picks. Doesn't seem real.

I hope we draft a running back but I don't know about using the first rounder on it if we end up getting one.

Ready for this Payton thing to be over.

A rb is a waste of a first round pick, imo.

I’d rather move up a little bit and get Texas RB Robinson, great guy who can be the workhorse and let Kamara and Hill move all around the field.

Seems to have the right amount of small school prospects, might need one more no name school draft pick though.
