Saints had talked to Valdes-Scantling's camp and were in the mix. But looks like he'll be heading to Kansas City.

The #Chiefs are signing former #Packers WR Marquez Valdes-Scantling to a three-year, $30 million deal with $18 million in the first two years and incentives to reach a maximum of $36 million, his agents @NSAFootball tell @RapSheet and me.

He has a lot of speed but that's way too much to spend on a guy who really hasn't produced a whole lot.

I'm glad they didn't pay that.

One thing is clear.

They want a deep threat. Will fuller and now scantling.

They need to sign keelan cole.

I could be wrong, but that seems like an overpay.

Agree. He will be 28 soon and has yet to prove anything with Rodgers at QB. Heavy pass at that price.

We're in trouble at WR. If this dude costs $10m per and we see other contracts like Christian Kirk or Tyreek's new contract....we definitely can't afford OBJ or Landry. Guess the team will be rolling with the same WRs as last year. Yikes....

That’s funny because I looked at the top available FA WR’s and Scantling was one of the view I arrived at a “nah” for. But what do I know.

Its an overpay.

But the Saints are kings of being "in the mix" and not getting the guy. If the headline isn't "Saints sign," we aren't getting him.

And you’re basing this off the Watson trade? Who cares

DeVante Parker for 6M per and a 6th round pick or MVS for 10M per?

This dude sucks. What would make a team with an Aaron Rodgers type qb give that money to a guy that sucked with Rodgers? This makes no sense.

I’m not very high on him. Think Lazard is better. I really wanted JuJu.

Based on what’s left, I want William Fuller and draft a wr in the second if the big names are off the board.

Good. Never understood the media push to make him a big name. He's just above average that has a few outlier games.

Or hear me out. We draft that guy out of Alabama or Ohio State and were alright again.
