I love sanders but anything 4 mil or above you have to cut.

P rob will be next.
Wouldnt be surprised to see latavius get cut. It would be like 2.7

These are the type of cuts they are going to have to makee

Core is more important than depth but you need both to be a legit contender.

We need to hit big on the UDFA market this year

Need to find an Ivory, a non-shitehead version of Galette, and a Breaux with a neck

Seems likely after resigning Montgomery and Washington.

Murray
Brown
P Rob are next.

Wouldn’t be surprised if Jackrabbit is cut as well.
Extensions to Ram, Lattimore and Williams also.

I see so many of our beat writers commenting that WR jumps up as an immediate need now that Sanders is gone and I just don’t see it as being that immediate. You’re going to lose 3 defensive linemen, have only Robertson, Baun and Davis at LB and could potentially have a hole at CB. With Thomas, Callaway, Smith and Harris, I just can’t fathom they spend their first round pick on a WR

If they wait to make it a post June 1st cut them combined with cutting Kwon they just saved $19 million. That’s half of the chunk we needed to get even. Look for Murray to be next saving $2.7 and then try to add a year to JackRabbit’s contract to save them another $6-7. The big question is what happens with Malcolm Brown. They need to cut his cap hit in half to keep him but letting him go is dangerous as he was by far our best run stuffer. The rest will easily be accomplished with extensions from Ramcyzk, Lattimore and Williams. We are almost there.

Kadarius Toney in the 1st round would be a good pick if available. Terrace Marshall or Rondale Moore would still be a good choice in 2nd.

WR is the only pick that would make me lose my shite. It’s a luxury we could have afforded the last 2-3 years but a team that has so many holes at so many other key positions just can’t afford to take a WR in Round 1. Round 3? Sure. But the first two picks should be defense. I’d actually prefer the first four picks to be defense. The Saints are rebuilding and when you already have decent depth at WR (especially with a top 5 WR) there are other positions that need addressing.

If Marshall is there late 2nd I can't think of many players I would take over him. As a #2 to Michael Thomas...that's one banging 1-2 punch

I've given upon predicting the Saints draft picks. We need to pick a LB or CB IMO. Cutting Sanders is sorta big though. He was an established WR.

Weird timing for this. Why did they bother even signing him in the first place?

He’s not even old. Injury related?

Are you confusing him for someone else?

He wasn’t as much of a difference maker as we needed (but it didn’t help not having 100% MT and noodle arm Brees out there). His time here should have been better

Can't throw it to himself. Catching those Taysom ducks proved what he could've done if we could throw it.

He was solid and played good last year but can easily be replaced. Raiders signed Agolar for way cheap last year and he vastly outperformed Sanders. You can always find receiver depth out there and there’s a ton of good ones every draft.

Same goes for rb with Murray. I’d much rather keep Malcolm Brown and Dline depth...

No. I’m talking about the WR Emanuel Sanders that played in Denver and SF before joining the Saints. Why are you asking me this?

Kadarius Toney and Terrace Marshall will not be the best available players at 28

Given the cap situation, how could you be surprised by any cap saving move that is made?

Not saying this wasn’t a good move, or that they can’t find a suitable replacement (possibly cheaper). But, considering how hard it has been for this team to have a consistent player to play opposite MT (or Colston) this is not a very accurate statement

I never said that they would be. I’m pushing back on your idea that we should draft defense for the first 4 picks because of need.
