He’s not even old. Injury related?

Dude he will be 34 years old. Especially as a skill position player that’s pretty old. That’s why I asked if you were confused.

Weird timing for this.

Maybe it’s because the Saints are in salary cap hell? They’re trying to save money every where they can

Why did they bother even signing him in the first place?

To contribute last year. They were contenders last year and could have use another receiver. Maybe they would’ve retained him had he far exceeded expectations.

I’m sure they wish they could’ve kept Sanders but when you’re in the cap situation the Saints are in, you have to make sacrifices. He’s a decent receiver but he’s old and they’re probably hoping the younger guys could make up for it.

BPA and drafting for need aren’t mutually exclusive.

Good. I hope so. Toney is a gadget player, not even a true WR. More like Percy Harvin and we already have that kind of role in Harris. I like Marshall but again, I don’t think he’s going to be the best player on the board at 28. There will be plenty of other good players, just as good as Marshall, at positions of need.

“Marquez Callaway, I’m telling you guys, you guys better remember his name,” Sanders told reporters. “If the guy stays healthy, he’s going to be a special player in this league. He’s not even close to hitting his peak just based off how he’s built. Good, humble kid – wants to work hard. He’s a guy, man… they said it’s a good rookie receiver class, nobody’s talking about him. This guy is a player.”
