About Michael Thomas.

No WR depth in this draft with 1 7th left.

You have so much money tied up in him…don’t really have a choice other than to hope he can give you something.

I would've gone with Parker Washington over the safety they just drafted.

Bryan Edwards is Michael Thomas insurance

This was not a good WR draft and most rookies aren’t plug and play year 1 anyway

Still can bring in a vet post draft. Julio, Jarvis, Demarcus Robinson type

His contract was restructured to basically a 1 year deal. He was always going to be on the roster in 2023 but he's gone next off-season.

Disagree, this is a very deep WR draft with players capable of contributing well in to the 5th round

They still have money to sign a get as insurance and will closer to camp. Some vet will end up taking a o e year deal for $2-3 million.

Why would he be gone next off-season?

They would just work out another contract if he performs this year.

I think you will see Mike Thomas play at minimum 8 games.

They did this deal do MT coupe play a 1 year prove it season I'd he balls out he'll get a big contract but it won't be from the Saints. Too much water under the bridge. If he is hurt again this season the Saint are off the hook after this season.
MT is betting on himself and I am too because his next contract depends on it. Either way this is his last season on the Saints roster.

Also and 8 game season would be a major improvement over the last 3 years. That's in itself is the problem.

Maybe we know we're bringing back Jarvis. I know he was also hurt last year but he would probably be better depth than what we'd get here anyway

The best WRs of the draft were small guys, incapable of "replacing" Michael Thomas. There were little to none big route technicians who can make contested catches
