This is irrelevant to what we're talking about. Defensive players go after injuries all the time.

Isn't is possible to put somebody out of the game or get them carted off within the rules?

The video doesn't matter here, I guess. It's all about the act of placing the bounty??

still... hard to prove.. but what the frick could 18000 pages have on them?!

I hope y'all get busted in the biggest way. The saints didnt try to hide it that they were trying to take players out. In the rematch against the Vikings, first game of the year, they said they were going to go after Favre's weak ankle that they hurt in the NFC title game. I hate the saints, btw.

I could point out about 18 other boards here on TD.com you could post on if you aren't a Saints fan, Angelina Brolie.

That's what I'm saying. Playing dirty isn't illegal necessarily. But giving players incentive to do it definitely is.

exactly. how many dirty hits or how many times we were penalized for dirty hits is completely irrelevant. the fact that players were putting money up is the issue.

The NFL can make this go away if it wants to. Trust me.

The NFL put it up as BREAKING NEWS on all their media outlets.

Goodell likes to make examples. That's what concerns me.

From what im hearing in dc radio coach peyton will be suspended for five games.Plus im hearing Vilma, harper, smith, ellis will be suspended and fine as well five games. Both this years second and next years first. Loomis could be force to leave. They also said this issue was known by peyton in 2009 and he told greg to stop. He thought he had stop and in 2011 a player that was not said on air came to peyton and said its still going on hence why he let him leave. Plus im hearing he did the same crap in dc. Thats why daniel snyder hiried zorn over him.

If there was anything more to your statement, this is where I would have stopped reading. Probably shouldn't have been that long, though.

I really hope none of that is true.

I have to believe that its entirely too early for anyone to know that right now. If the news is just breaking it seems like there will be a while before punishment is announced.

As long as players were rewarded for hard legal hits and not rewarded for illegal hits I don't see a problem with it. How many illegal hits did the saints get called for this year not counting the bullshite roughing the passer calls and the Harper hit on steve smith that he totally deserved and got for showing us up? I can't remember hardly any. Just call it as you see it on the field, if a team is makin a bunch of illegal hits they will pay the price.

We cut can all them dudes, sign Laron landry and company and move on from that shite. PCJr is a mini Payton. We suck at first round picks anyways, a 2nd round... oh well...

Haha! Peyton isn't a coach, he's a QB!

Now if it was Payton, I'd be worried.

Only bad thing about this is that the Commish knows this, the fans know this, the media knows this, and the Commish might make an example of the Saints to put an end to it. It is bad that they are attaching "knock out" and "carted off" with this bounty program.

We are capable of playing without him, but 5 games is a long period of time.

Played without Smith for 4 games last season, Vilma and Ellis might both be cut anyway. Who knows, we might improve without Harper lol.

By who? Benson is behind him. I can't see the NFL forcing him out.

That is rather harsh. Heck all of these penalties are by far greater than the Spygate from the Patriots. I could deal with fines and loss of a draft pick, but 2 draft picks and suspensions this is all too much. I think they just want to bring the hammer down on us to stop an age old system in place on every team.
