I agree with you its the NFL system that failed here if anything the bounties rendered no outrageously blatant penalties at the time.

Just because we didn't get that many illegal hits in doesn't change the fact that we put on bounty on players heads to hurt them. Whether they were successful at it or not, we're gonna pay for it.

Saints tied for 8th in illegal hits over this 3 season span, so that doesn't look bad at all for us really.

That's some different logic

eta: Ok let's get one thing clear here.

You just said "hurt".

Is it "big hits" or actually hurting and taking out other players.

If the Saints were paid to HURT other players, that is very different.

Well this is extemely unfortunate. What would really suck is that Coach Payton has to resign. He is the head coach and is ultimately responsible of any actions of the team, especially on the field.

There's no way that happens. If Belichick kept his job after Spygate, I think Payton will be fine. He probably get a large fine, but I don't think he'll be force to resign.

So we have reports saying the GM was told to stop it but didn't, now there are reports saying Sean Payton knew about it but didn't stop it either.

How are these people finding this out, and if it is true it's pretty bad since it includes more than just the Defensive people but the entire team.

I hope y'all get busted in the biggest way. The saints didnt try to hide it that they were trying to take players out. In the rematch against the Vikings, first game of the year, they said they were going to go after Favre's weak ankle that they hurt in the NFC title game. I hate the saints, btw.

It's hilarious to me that anyone thinks we deliberately twisted Favre's old fricking ankle.

Has any Saints Player been fined for an illegal hit?

Yes.

Is there any proof other than the players had some big hits?

Yeah, I'm just not sure how you prove this. Other than going on someone's word or testimony, what proof would there be? You can look at tape, but a big hit doesn't mean there was a bounty. I would hope like hell there weren't stupid enough to be recorded saying anything or documenting anything.

You sissy.

Every team does it. The Saints never put anybody out on a dirty hit. Favre got his arse kicked fair and square with one legit late hit.

You HATE the Saints? so.

Williams' "remember me" shots and going after an injury are completely different. The Saints and the Media both put out there that the defense was going to within the rules of the game hit key players as hard as they could. Completely different

I don't think so either, but you never know at this point. It's very early in the investigations. And I don't recall any team ever getting accused for a "bounty program", so who knows what the penalties would be.

Which wasn't even flagged. He got hit hard 3 times, two were very legal, and one was a illegal.

Those "dirty" hits ended Kurt Warner's career.

If it does happen I will be so fricking pissed. We're supposed to win the Superbowl in NOLA this year. I hope this doesn't frick up our chances.

Former head of Saints Security turned in a report that stated that Peyton was one of the coaches popping Vic's the year we won the Super Bowl.

The NFL made it go away.

This guy in his prior gig was a 20 year G-Man for the FBI. The NFL can make this go away if it wants to. Trust me.
