Sorry for partying.

Players get caught making "dirty" hits every single week and it never amounts to anything but a heavy fine, or a suspension if this is their 4th time doing it or whatever.
Apparently we have some organized program for dirty hits and our price will be a bunch of hefty fines, multiple game suspensions, and the loss of several draft picks over the next 2 years?
Am I reading this right?

i still think it's bs.. you have REFS to decide what is legal and illegal..
they make the calls on the field.. i don't see how these "bounties" really work in a PROFESSIONALLY OFFICIATED game.

Wonder how much McCray got for that lick on Kurt Warner? $100,000? $200,000?
Posted on 3/3/12 at 9:54 am to crimsonsaint
McCray was also the one who injured Favre's ankle. He was also was fined for that hit. The reward that day for taking out Asante was $10,000. Greer also put a dirty hit on Adrian and went after his ankle after the whistle blew.

That's right. I hope you get the book thrown at you. I hope the NFL takes away enough draft picks from you that you don't make it to the Super Bowl for a long long time. Fines are no big deal. The individuals involved need to he punished severely and the team needs to get hit where it hurts the most-lost draft choices. There is simply no justification for paying players to hurt someone.

This is such bull shite. Tell old man Favre not to step on the field if he doesn't want to get lit up.
You'd feel differently if the Vikings had paid players bounties and they wrecked Brees's knee ending his career.

bounty hunters gonna bounty hunt

The Saints didn't end Favre's career. That's a ridiculous statement.

i have 2 thoughts, probably not original but whatevs
1. i dont actually care if players were paid for hits. football is a mean, tough, dirty, nasty sport and im not acting like im some holier than thou super moral dude. i dont give a frick
2. if this costs us draft picks, then i will be beyond royally pissed
Then prepare to be pissed. If draft picks were taken away from the Patriots for spying, then the Saints should lose many many draft choices. This little scheme of Williams cost the Vikings a Super Bowl, but it could have also ended player's careers.

adrian peterson cost the vikings a super bowl
and you don't think that fairley was trying to injure murray in the uga game a few years ago?

Wow. He mad.
Yes, I'm mad. We had a big party for that game and everyone noticed the Saints were playing dirty and trying to injure the Viking's players. The NFL also needs to investigate the refs who worked the game. McCray was fined for his dirty hit on Favre, yet there was no penalty on the play? Total BS.

You didnt hear? Every team does this.
Just because the reff doesn't throw a flag doesnt mean there wasnt intent to injure, its not like the refs can read minds.
But i mean, everyone does it, every team has ended 2 future hall of fame qbs career back to back in the playoffs.
your not suppose to be professional about the game, you are suppose to take players out and give them permanent injuries that could affect their game and money.

The Saints beating the Vikings in the NFCCG cost the Vikings the Super Bowl.
Blame your offensive line for not blocking better.
Blame Adrian Peterson for not hanging onto the ball.
Blame Favre for making pee-wee football mistakes and throwing across his body on the most important play of the game.
Blame your team for not playing better.
All the bounties in the world wouldn't have mattered if the O-line had protected your gunslinging rented mule, but they couldn't do it.

And are you still going to be this butthurt when you find out (and you will) its going on in every locker league wide and has for decades?
