what can they realistically do?

they have very limited options and is there any realistic way other then take whatever scraps are left when their picks come up or if they give up every pick this year, whats the best scenario, if any, to get a better pick this year?

maybe trade everything they have after the 2nd round to maybe get a 4th round pick?

what do we have after our 2nd rnd pick, a 5th and a couple of 6s and 7s this year?

Wait a minute, the Saints don’t have first, third, or fourth round picks? This is the first I’ve heard of this. Thanks for bringing this information to the board!

We literally ejected more than 50% of our draft last year...

I don’t post too often, but hardly a troll. I just think this a stupid thing to be bitching about.

exactly, this is the slimest draft list we have so thats why im asking what realistic option there might be, if any

would there be any value selling out everything we have other then our 2nd rounder to get a 4th rnd pick or do we not even have enough to do that?

i think its a given that FA is the only place we can expect to get any real help this year

Package our picks to move into the early second.

Draft Jeffery Simmons.

Profit.

But seriously I wish we could get N’Keal Harry. Was surprised he ran 4.53. That’s pretty good since he’s known as a possession/contested catch receiver.

Actually wouldn't hate that move

Also wouldn't mind trading bqck to grab an extra pick

Yeah wouldn’t mind that. Feel like we’ll be really aggressive in free agency this year.

I'll tell you exactly what they're going to do,because they've done it often. If they see a must-have player they'll steal picks from next year's draft to move up where they need to be.
Personally, I think we'll fill most of our wants in free agency, and those signings will be for depth along both lines and at WR, perhaps TE.
We may try to make one splash signing/trade just to try to squeeze one more title run out of Brees but I'm guessing more middle tier guys when the dust settles.

Realistically?

We can get a good player in the second round and then draft some depth.

There ya go

Draft is stacked on defense this year. Then consider Michael Thomas was 2nd round, Kamara 3rd. Maybe we hit on another difference maker with our second round pick and bring in some beefy competition for the lines with the last few picks? Free Agent TE and/or WR to give Drew another weapon or two. I’m not so bent out of shape about lack of picks this year considering how many draft picks actually made the team last year...

It was a stupid move to trade for Bridgewater. Gave up a 3rd for a play against Minnesota, garbage time in the last game of the season, and a cool dance move.

We just need to bag a decent TE. After that, we can draft some 2 and 3 string guys.

In retrospect, yes it was especially for a likely 1 year rental. It ended up being an expensive insurance policy that was luckily not needed
